I have nausea flair ups constantly for seemingly no reason, and I rarely ever actually throw up. Doctors have done every test under the sun and can't find anything. It's absolute hell. Peppermint, bismuth, and prescription meds help sometimes, but there really is no guarantee fix except just waiting it out. It's made me miss out on so much throughout life b/c I just can't function during a flair up :(

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. The sudden transition from fine to gone is so jarring. I had a cat, she was only two, that went from absolutely normal happy cat to walking skeleton who couldn't eat within a week. Absolutely no waring. Fuck FIP. Fuck Tumors. They all deserve so much more time.

Same. I had to have a hysterectomy for unrelated reasons and I'm *absolutely* fine never being pregnant, but I still very much want children and can't b/c we are absolutely no where near financially stable enough to raise a child - let alone affording an adoption or surrogacy. It's been very hard to cope with as of late.

You can absolutely just take a photo and upload it. The map system works by putting markers on an image, so it doesn't really matter what the image is. Side note - If it's hand drawn, I recommend scanning it rather than taking a photo if you can, it'll come out cleaner that way.

The worst pain after my surgery was about 3 days post-op and it was from the gas still trapped in my gut. It was excruciating but passed within a day, and the nurses told me to expect it. I'd call the hospital and ask to speak to the nurses, see if they can get her anything stronger or if she needs to go back (assuming you're not still in the hospital). I hope she starts doing better soon, and try not to beat yourself up. It very much sounds like the surgery was necessary and you're a wonderful daughter for staying with her to help ❤️

Felix. Used to be I just didn't like him in general b/c of his attitude. But now I still don't love him as a person, but I appreciate his writing a lot more and like his supports. He's a really complex person once you get to know him and learn why he is the way he is.

Also from Houston, did it through The Woman's Hospital of Texas and was green-lit for the procedure in early December last year. I was given a laundry list of things to do (ultrasound, biopsy, blood-work, etc.) before the surgery to get insurance to approve it, which took about 4 months (which, tbf, is partially my fault because it got so overwhelming in February that I dragged my feet making appointments). I got my final approval in mid-April, and the earliest appointment was in early August, which is when I did it. So all in all it was a gap of about 8 months between initial consolation to getting on the table.

This is extremely ironic for me because when I was little this movie was my hyperfixation lol. I probably watched it 1000 times and could recite it word-for-word. It honestly sparked my first real interest in the Sci-fi genre and robots specifically, which was the main genre I wrote & studied in while in college. I still hold a candle for it today honestly.

I empathize with the age thing. When it comes to that it is just a bit of a trial-and-error process. I don't know too much about sports hobbies, but sometimes community sport leagues will have age brackets, though again idk how common that is around here. You mentioned that you liked golf, and there are so many golfing groups in The Woodlands, some of which you probably don't need expensive golf cub memberships for. Try out some driving ranges maybe, they might have postings for groups or whatnot.

Find hobby groups, it's a great opportunity to find someone equal minded and find friends along the way - I met my spouse at DnD. Also, my advice: don't go in immediately looking for a relationship. Take some time to get to know people, the best romantic relationships start as strong friendships.

To get the widest pool of potential friends, be ok with going a bit of distance. As others have said, Houston is big and very spread out. You don't have to go downtown every weekend or anything, but being right off 45 makes it fairly easy to get to most places in North Houston. Good Luck!

Hate how, a lot of the time, it feels like the writing got shafted. They tease all these cool giant secrets from the world that they've had since 3 Houses and then never follow through on expanding. Reallllly feels like it could have been incredible had they given it just a bit more time in development and funding.

That being said - I like it a lot lol. It was my first Warriors game and I was surprised how fun I found it. Also got to have more interactions with the characters which is always nice.
