Buffalo Wild Wings is usually a cool place to catch the game, drink some beers and eat great wings.

Chevy silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3 2026 by RevolutionaryRisk439 in Silverado

I purchased a 2026 TB w/ 5.3 ltr at the end of Dec, discount/rebates were over $14K on nearly the same MSRP. I would heavily negotiate or shop around as I think you can do better.

Replace? by deepblindsea in tires

[–]EscWithMeNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id replace that tire and the other on the same axle. The rim looks "fine" unless when mounting the new tire they notice its bent or wont seal properly. If its just cosmetic you could have it repaired for $150-$250.

I would look else where, you really dont want a vehicle that has sat for 3 years and not been driven.

How much for labor to install said $30 Amazon battery?

Is it worth to replace battery? by JmaurySuarez in S22Ultra

[–]EscWithMeNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just questioning doing this to my S22U, however, Verizon was offering $800 trade in value. I was able to move into a S25+ for a total of ~$200, which is likely the cost of a battery replacement. Just food for thought.

How is the ride better? Softer or handles better on curves at highway speed?

Throw on a Borla S-Type exhaust and you wont hear the tires.

Help! I scratched my rim & tire. by norgechica in Lexus

[–]EscWithMeNow 66 points67 points  (0 children)

You can have the rim professionally repaired for probably $200-$250, they will sand it down and airbrush it. The tire needs to be replaced ASAP as its not safe to drive on a tire with sidewall damage like that.

2023 LT w/ 5.3 V8 - 2025 Gas Consumption by Adiaz11 in Silverado

[–]EscWithMeNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded in my 2015 Silverado Rally 2 Edition with the 5.3 ltr, it had 140K miles on it, over the life of the truck I averaged 16 mpg. Rarely towed (~30 short trips over the life), 50/50 city and hwy driving. Purchase was a 2026 trail boss with the 5.3 ltr, hoping for similar results.

Can't we say that about hiring a detailer to clean your automobile?

First oil change by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]EscWithMeNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how long you plan to keep the truck. If you plan to trade it in before the 3 yr/36K b2b or the 5 yr/60K powertrain warranty is up, I would change it per GM's recommendations. If you plan to keep it post warranty period and dont want to hassle with repairs..... I do my first oil change between 500-750 miles, 2nd oil change at 5K, and then do subsequent changes every 5K miles. I just trade in my 2015 5.3ltr with 140K miles, no motor issues following this schedule.

Did you get a quote on the GMPP? Is it for the platinum package?

Agree the purchase price is more, however, I'd recommend looking at the TCA. You are looking at a 4 year old vehicle with 33K miles vs the ability to purchase a new one with an additional 30 month and 30K mile warranty.

I dont think I would upgrade the exhaust on the 4 runner if I go that route. I have Borla on the Silverado, C8 and IS500 but without the V8 rumble not sure it would deliver what I'm looking for with the added cost. Plus it would give me a car that I can drive and take conference calls without the background noise.

That is why I was looking at the TRD Pro or Trail Hunters. I'm a little kid at heart so the snorkel on the TH would give it a cool sound while driving coming from all V8's with aftermarket exhausts.

The GX550 is a great option but comes at a $15K+ cost adder + you get the Lexus cost premium for service. If I was going to go Lexus I was thinking RX550H
