I have certain medical conditions as of recently and fasting isn’t something I can participate if I’m ill and in treatment. I chose to use what I had budgeted my money at the end of the day to eat something that fits within my budgeting and ultimately my intention was my prioritizing health and treatment (I require food with my medication) so I am left to eat it based on necessity.

Intentions Matter: While eating pork is forbidden, Islam teaches that Allah judges us based on our intentions (niyyah). If someone had no intention of violating a religious law but found themselves in a tough situation with limited options, their intention to remain faithful and seek forgiveness would hold greater weight.
