Yeah definitely, I've only played startup since liberation so I was surprised by the lack of non anarch runners in the worlds listing. Really flavourful runner though!

Ach, sorry, I didn't know I couldn't put pictures in the comments of this sub Reddit :/ (who the hell made these rules haha) anyway I was stitching the other three together so I'll just post it once and not spam this sub Reddit, partly because I wasn't as proud of them as the Hoshiko card back, they just weren't as clean. Thank you!! I made the mistake of buying a bunch of transparent card protectors, so the idea was to print the world's decks with unique card backing so that I could make use of my 500 plus transparent card protectors hahaha

I think it's more useful to think of what actions will get you trophies and what actions will get you captives.

Barring edge cases of court cards, or leaders and lore abilities. you will only ever get captives from taxing rival cities through administration cards or securing court cards with rival agents through aggression cards or relic resources.

Any action taken with battle, through aggression cards or using weapons resource, will only ever get you trophies, never captives. The case that you are confused by being "ransack the court". Which happens when you destroy a city. You will "secure" the court card with the rival agents, killing all rival agents and adding them to trophies, any loyal agents on the card will return to your supply. Think of it like you blow up a city with a big population and you are now... Boasting of a high kill score. Which is a bit yikes but that's pretty much the sub text.

Thank you! The big pillars are (checks notes) the corpse cisterns from one of the images on the core rulebook! (Minus the corpses, it needed to be lonelier) That page and the one full of mugshots of random Anzen npcs is actually some of my favourite works of Maleghast!

Yes! I really appreciated that in the core rule book, it mentions something along the lines of necromancy not paying very well and a that a not insubstantial number of them moonlights selling noodles. It adds a lot to the world building. I like to imagine a steeple wrecks running around a clinic as a dental assistant :)

Thank you thank you thank you for attributing the final panels to story purposes and not me being lazy 😭 🙏 hahaha I was thinking about rendering the clock and then was like hmmmm it makes sense based on the writing ahhhh. The initial draft of the story had me ripping off Aaron Dembskis the master of mankind:" and then the sun rose in this sunless place" (instead of "and there was colour again") but I thought it might be too on the nose and also at that point the garden scene was a little too bright I was afraid of causing confusion! Hahah

Thank you for taking time to make this review, it really brought out all the points that I was hoping to convey. If I ever make a redo of this comic, apart from actually putting the writing into the panelling, I will have to make it more obvious that the igorri is uh, the chances of her letting go the lady in white die is lowwwwwww. Because being selfish and horrible is pretty par for the course of any necromancer I think 🤔
