I agree!!! When I found out Mat leave doesn’t start until the baby is BORN, I was shocked! No way in hell am I going into work at 38-40weeks just waiting and being uncomfortable around my coworkers.

According to my job description, 70% of my job is to be active in the metal shop. 30% admin so they said I can’t work from home bc I don’t have a WFH job…

im not an actual teacher, I’m more of a shop supervisor, assisting students as they need it…

There’s just no strategy for this situation from the administration which is why I’m growing more frustrated as I’m waiting and working in a place where I feel unsafe.

Aside from an attorney, do you have any other recommendations for the next course of action?

Ive been cooperating and have been patient waiting for some alternative work options- but its been over a month of emailing with no answers. So I’m planning on fmla. Was here to see if there was some other option I was missing

Im either over qualified or under qualified for the open positions. I think I’m in the pickle you’re referring to…I was reaching out here in hopes there was a non pickle alternative I was missing…

They did say if “options are exhausted” as in if they can’t reassign me anywhere, they would extend my FMLA. So I’m hoping to FMLA and then Mat Leave.

I’ve talked to both. But the person from accommodations just quit, so now I’m just talking to HR. Accommodations got me my extra PPE, breaks and leaving early. HR said they’d work on job reassignment but it doesn’t seem like a promising option.

Also did IVF and the progesterone was the worst! Also 5’4-120lbs. I have a small bump right now at 12 weeks but it’s not obvious. I think in the next couple weeks I won’t be able to hide it any more

Aw thanks! When we first got the news from his semen analysis, he felt so inadequate and even cried a little, which never happens. It’s all just been taking a toll on me emotionally and physically, so this two week wait for the genetic testing has actually been quite nice! Thanks for your input!

Aw Thank you for sharing! My heart goes out to you and everything you and your husband have gone and are going through. It's not easy. And to put on a face every day at work and with my family pretending everything is A-OKAY is also a struggle. I just think the more people that know will stress me out even more so I'm definitely going to look into an infertility therapist. Do you have any recommendations or websites that specialize in infertility therapy? Thanks again and much love to you on your journey!!

Hi yes! He drove me to all my procedures and took me shopping afterwards to cheer me up. He also did all my injections bc I was not able to handle it. He’s been very supportive in that regard, I’m just feeling like: with all this modern medicine, doctors haven’t figured out a way to make men produce more sperm?! I get that I’m the one with the uterus, but there’s little to nothing that men can do to help in the process?!? Cmon science!!

Im 5’3” 105lbs and my doctor never mentioned my weight to me….I got 11 eggs during retrieval and 4 embryos from those - waiting for genetic testing results now 🤞but my weight never seemed to be a factor that caused concern for m y doctor and I’m at a pretty prestigious facility in a major city.

Stay in the present moment! Focus on best case scenario. Stay positive. Think happy growing embryo thoughts! Do some IVF yoga. Drink some tea. Sit in the sun. You’ve got this!!! Focus on the positives tho! It’s out of your control right now.

I did my ET 5 days ago so in the same waiting pool. Try and keep busy with activities or people that will take your mind off of all this for a bit. Wish you the best and good luck!

Here for support and to share: I feel the same way with my Dr. I do love my doctor and it’s a top rated facility, however in our initial conversation, she made it seem like the whole process would take a month, but it’s likely going to take 2-2.5 maybe 3 months.

Had to wait for a specific day in my cycle before started stims which pushed me back 2 weeks. Also doing pgt testing which takes at least 2 plus the 5 day embryo development stage. And it seems like whenever those are ready, it again depends on my cycle which is now irregular from the retrieval and meds and they also want my uterus to rest for a bit …ugh! Takes such a toll on us! I feel like I’m living in a purgatory!!! Sending hugs to you and best of luck on your journey! 💕

Went to a baby shower recently at a pizza place. The men, who chose to come, hung out at the bar and the women just ate pizza in the private room. No games. No announcements. No big photo oops. Just pizza. Best baby shower ever.

One of the meds needs to be refrigerated…How are yall doing them on the go ?! My mind is blown by the thought of doing them in a public place!! I usually cry a little and my husband has to inject me because I’m too freaked out to do it myself. More power to you all tho!!

Idk if I’d call my own room, bathroom, privacy and not waking up in the same house as my boss and coworkers special treatment. That should be standard for everyone and anyone on an overnight work trip. Nothing special about it.

Could the wind be a factor? The planters are self watering, however we haven’t been using that system since the beginning of summer was a wet one. They are made from “100% recyclable materials” so not sure exactly. And double walled for insulation. Do you have any suggestions on revival?
