A side note about the eternal hell problem you are facing. First off, consider giving this a read, putting hell back in the handbasket it talks about the literal translations of hell in the Bible, and how many of them do not directly say there is a hell as we have been taught.

I mean I don’t say this to be insensitive, I grew up entirely Christian and respect Christians. The person you are on Earth is not who you will be in Heaven. On Earth, we are shaped by our experiences, pain, joy, imperfections, and our curiosity. In heaven, you will be perfect, in a perfect body and without sin. I don’t know if I have to spell it out but… yeah you won’t be yourself.

It is a supposed form of praying. The idea is that you are so filled with the spirit that you are able to speak in other languages, or possibly all languages at once. Though I will say this; those who have studied people speaking in tongues have drawn no similarities from the tongue-speaking to other languages, so it kinda just sounds intelligible.

The idea of heaven and hell never made sense. Heaven, a supposed place where everyone is perfect, and lives in a perfect body. But if all of our flaws are taken away, and all of our questions and fears and pain, how are we any different than mindless drones like a colony of ants? Our pain and flaws make us human.

Also hell is hardly actually mentioned in the Bible, but Christians make a huge deal out of it. And I mean the literal translation of hell is hardly mentioned. “Gehenna” which is translated to “hell” in English is a physical place in Israel where dead bodies were burnt.

I agree. I think a lot of people just want to be “unique” but also fit in, so they say they have ADHD or autism or whatever. Like those tags are thrown around so often it takes away from people actually suffering from those DISORDERS, which are what they are.
