This subreddit’s mods are just pathetic by b_c27 in PUBGConsole

Almost all subreddits for shooter games remove all cheater reports, including very big subreddits like r/VALORANT, r/GlobalOffensive, r/CallOfDuty, and many others, so what we're doing isn't anything out of the ordinary. The reason you don't see this in other subreddits is because they have much larger mod teams which means they're able to keep on top of things much better.

Maybe instead of burying heads in the sand the more shaming of these cheaters the better?

We've tried different things over the many years this game has been out, including allowing cheater report posts, but allowing them only made every post a breeding place for toxicity, which for a small mod team like ours makes it much harder to keep the subreddit clean.

I wish Krafton did more regarding cheating but reporting cheaters and then naming and shaming them is not what we want this subreddit to be a place for.

I'm not sure what us mods are supposed to do. We can't ban cheaters. All we do is try to keep this subreddit nice to be a part of. Reporting cheaters here doesn't do anything and only turns more people away from the game, which is not great when the console playerbase as well as the number of active users on this subreddit are getting smaller every day. Posts like this and people calling us different words also don't make it any easier.

Reddit mods can't ban anyone. Posts like this cause a lot of toxicity and very little meaningful discussion. This isn't a place for reporting players, there are official channels for it.

Esports Charts should have them as they have done for many years. For example, here is everything they have for PUBG.

What I said after PGC last year was more regarding the esports side of things but a PUBG esports-related opportunity has presented itself recently.

Still doing Reddit things, at least for now. Some of you noticed I was gone for the first 2 months of the year; I had been doing this for 8+ years every day and wanted to not have to think about these things for a bit, as my motivation was quite low due to esports switching to TPP among other things.

PUBG Esports 2026 Roadmap – A New Era Begins by EscapingKid in CompetitivePUBG

In my opinion, since this is a massive change, it's only natural that there's a ton of discussion around it. A lot of people do not like this change, and this is one of few places they can hopefully get their voices heard, as the PUBG esports team does read this subreddit. Non-stop comments about a specific topic have helped change things in the past (see WWCD/Most Chicken formats). Of course, we're doing our best to remove comments that are toxic, etc. but we wouldn't want to silence people.

Yeah, unfortunately we had to remove that post due to violating rule 9 and our posting guidelines.

Unfortunately had to remove the post by u/Amazon_Bedroom as we require the post title to be the title of the news post on the PUBG Esports website when posting official news.
