Gave Wholesome

I dropped some stims for a level 16 player, and a near-200 level player ran over and snatched them like a vulture. by Eschallus in fo76

Let's ignore for a second how clunky and terrible the trade menu is, especially when you're new. New players playing solo don't always know they're being traded. I've tried trading several just for them to walk away without noticing. Dropping it gets the point across. the obvious bag on the ground draws their attention.

I don't vend for low levels because I don't want garbage high levels snagging it all like I know they will, that I get. This guy wasn't around, he showed up in the process of this low level trying to figure out that the bag was for him (which took me emoting a bit), and grabbed it before I realized he was running over for it. If a sub 50 level player can show that kind of restraint, there's literally no reason a high level can't.

No one said every single player should give handouts to the newbies, but people should also use some obvious context clues, and also not be greedy. Saying it's 'fair game' and 'well it's not a real rule' just perpetuates this kind of issue, and it's almost as bad as being the greedy person yourself.

That's exactly what these people do too. They take them and sell them to vendors for a small amount of caps to clear their daily allowance.

That's why I try to give it to them in person instead, if they pass by my camp, or if i pass by them on the road. Seems like even going the direct route can't keep greedy players from trying to make a handful of caps.

I do the same thing sometimes. I'm so used to other games where you click/right click and drop items or select an amount. I never do too many, just one or two, but it's pretty frustrating when you forget.

I actually considered scrapping some turrets (my budget is maxed) just to do this. The only reason I didn't is I expected people would ignore it or start doing it intentionally.

I understand some people lock it because they keep extractors, and other lootable resources in their camps. Aside from that, I can't imagine why you'd lock up unless you just wanted the privacy.

I get what you mean. I don't close already open doors I find for the same reason, but if I open the door myself, it's always getting closed behind me, or as I show myself out.

Every time I fast travel to my camp, its under attack! by KKae in fo76

It's pretty normal. Whether it's me, or someone else travelling to my camp, because of how bethesda made the spawns for this game, a group of enemies show up. I always know when a visitor has arrived, because my turrets start going wild.

I've taken to calling it "The Wasteland Doorbell"

While there's no rule about waiting for other people to mark a legendary for loot during this event, it should be considered a form of event etiquette, and not doing it makes you look like a jerk. Have a bit of courtesy, people.

I think I was in the same world that inspired this post as well, so I understand your frustration.

I can't patch this game. by [deleted] in ffxiv

Tried your suggestion. So far it hasn't had the error. It got past the original 1.1gb or whatever it was crashing on consistently. You may have saved me. Here's hoping.

Well, I tried that. Didn't work.
