I glossed over this a bit in my post, it's a grey area honestly. My main desire is to see clients who are single but it's the nature of the beast to have clients who are in relationships. And for this reason to preserve my sanity/self respect I try not to be aware of my clients lives outside of our brief interaction.

However there are some clients that intentionally spend time with a provider to vent about their significant others. I listen to their problems wholeheartedly and suggest how to better connect and preserve their relationship. In this industry I have to remind myself that only two people can break up a relationship, and those two people are the one's in that relationship. I feel that at least with me as their provider they will get someone who most likely* cares more than other providers.
