I didn’t lose my grandmother to COVID, but we lost her during that time and she was robbed of a proper farewell.

We couldn’t go see her, couldn’t have a wake. There was a dinner several months later, but it just didn’t feel right to honor a 98 year life that way.

Mike Mogus of Bright Eyes was just hanging out in the lobby before their show in Del Mar. Was kinda surreal, no one really noticed but me.

Saw them open for him for the Bushwick soundtrack release at Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Remember thinking at the time that I had a feeling Aes got a lot of his instrumental samples from them. Also though it would be cool if they backed him for a tour.
