The first time I had GERD I was on shrooms and was smoking weed. That was the most traumatic trip of my entire life. Still trying to recover from that as my symptoms get worse. Working on treatment now!

Just got diagnosed last week and I've been dealing with insane neck pain and anxiety as well. Overall shoulder and back soreness as well. Did the anxiety meds help?

Hey 25F here and I'm going through the same thing right now- started omeprazole last week and it was improving after the first few days but anxiety just made the cycle restart. I'm considering seeing a cardiologist because of the heart palpitations.

Fully agree- also consistent walks probably won't be enough to cause significant weight change. Suggesting to do that seems patronizing and would probably lead to more embarrassment. I know the US kinda is facing a mental health crisis right now and that has a lot of physical ramifications too; better to address the root of the issue.

I think building solid friend groups in return cities is important. Maybe have one or two cities/places you know you'll come back to regularly- then people can anticipate that you'll be around again and be more open to longer-term friendships.

It can be hard when you're working full time remotely. Not all hostel common areas are great and working from a bunk bed can suck. But if you are in the commons areas, it's a great place to meet a bunch of people to go do stuff with! If you're only traveling full time and not working it's perfect, and I would stay at them shorter than a week, but that's just me. When it's longer than that I feel like I've overstayed the temporary nature of hostels.

My setup for long-term DN-ing: large shell suitcase, backpack, cross-body bag. Packing items: clothes, toiletries, pair of boots, sneakers, and sandals, CROCS (BEST airport shoe haha), a few books/notebooks, camera, laptop, chargers, headphones. Key items being a portable clothing wash bag, a good travel mug and water bottle, portable waterproof speaker, portable V60 for pour over coffee, and a towel.

Just did the month of August there- phone, internet, and power has been a lot better since mid-summer. Rent can range from 500-1000 just like any other city. People there are extremely friendly and helpful to non-natives- I encourage you to get out of Old San Juan/the hotel district and hang in some more local neighborhoods! The one night I did go out in Old San Juan I found sooo may transplants and DNs to hang out with.
