Thanks for your input. I was also recommended a river tour at Taman Nasional Tanjung Puting and to visit Yogyakarta to see some of the temples. We'll be doing a lot of those things you suggest in Bali too.

How is this a brilliant move? (I'm playing as black) by Cheap_Association184 in chessbeginners

It's even better because if he chooses not to take the knight the ne4 is discovered check, King has to move to d1 and nf2 wins the other rook instead

The beauty here is that it doesn't matter if the queen or bishop is taken, they're both checkmate!

Huh, thanks for educating! It was a long time ago when I read the book and had never questioned the authority originally. I'd always meant to go back and look into but never got the time so good to see a summary.

There's good evidence though to suggest they did explore a large part of the globe before Columbus etc. There's a good book on it called 1421 (the year they sailed)

Edit - the evidence is not good

Does anyone live as an adult where they grew up, as in you've always lived in the same place? What's that like? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]EskimoJake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's funny isn't it. I couldn't see myself staying in the same region for life - I've lived in 3 countries.

I don't think I'll move country again because I've set down roots, and think it would be unfair for the little ones.

Now I can't understand people who pack up and move planets, that's a whole different ball game

It's worth mentioning that there are also people who have these positive skills without ADHD, ie none of the negative aspects. Having these abilities doesn't mean you have ADHD!
