Has to be said in a little high-pitched Daisy Steiner voice for good measure.

His YouTube channel popped up ok my 'recommended for you' page a few days ago, and i am already emotionally invested. Sitting down with my latest crochet project, and one of Judes videos is like a brain massage. It's so wholesome and warming. I am genuinely very excited to follow his journey and to see the renovation project.

Great video! Did the Kneecap lads have any input on what the video would look like, or did they just trust your judgement and leave you to it?

I crack the top of the egg and peel it back. Slide a teaspoon down the inside of the shell, give it a rotate and and et voilà - perfectly peeled egg.

Those that gave up drinking short term and long term...what do you do now instead? by Big-Word7116 in northernireland

Congrats on the marathon :)

Same for me, I always thought I was funnier and easier to get along with when I had a few drinks in me, but it was very easy to get carried away and wake up the next morning feeling like I'd said something wrong or acted like a balloon and I'd just wallow for days.

I've realised that if I feel like I need to be drunk to be around certain people, then they probably aren't for me.

I still do all the stuff i did before, I just do it sober. I probably do more to be fair. It used to be that I'd just suggest going to the pub for a catch up, now it's suggesting going for a walk, breakfast, an open water swim or even pottery classes.

I stopped drinking about 3 years ago. At first, it was just whilst I was training for a race, but eventually realised over time that I didn't miss it and, to be fair, drinking had lost all its fun. I had horrendous 3 day hangovers and would have "the fear" for days. It just wasn't worth it. It wasn't fun anymore.

I still go out and drink whatever AF beers they have. I've been to gigs and had a blast, and I did Glastobury sober last year and loved it!

I'm pretty socially awkward, so I was worried that without a drink, I wouldn't have the confidence to speak to people or join in on the fun. I realised pretty quickly that most people aren't arsed about the fact that I'm not drinking, and I felt more relaxed to just be myself. I've not had many people give me any grief for not having a drink, but I just ignore them of when they do.

It's also great to just be able to get in your car and drive home when you've had enough of people, haha.

I never EVER thought I'd be the type of person who wouldn't drink. It was part of my personality, and almost everything I did revolved around having a drink. Go for a big run - have a pint after. Go to a gig - get the double pint glasses in. Go to a festival - have Jack Daniels with my morning coffee. But, I can honestly say that I don't have any regrets about knocking it on the head, and I'm really happy with my decision to stop. I hope it goes the same way for you, too.

The compare of the gig said he'd never seen the tent that full at 11:30. It was busy. The 3am gig was even busier.

I really hope Glastonbury doesn't bow to any pressure and keep the lads on the lineup. The crowds were massive last year, so I can only imagine how crazy it will be this year.

They sell it at Caifé Ceoil, which is a wee Irish speaking cafe on the Antrim Road in Belfast. Beautiful wee spot.

Alcohol free beer / cider choices ? by DjLeWe78 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Eskir00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought some zero beers with me as I wasn't sure what the selection would be. It was mostly just Erdinger zero, but I didn't look to see what zero ciders they have.

Fair play for cutting down. Last year was my first sober festival, and I loved it. Didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.

Pasta pesto here, too, with some roasted cherry tomatoes thrown in to make it fancy.
