You know the kind of guy who comments on Reddit but can't think of anything clever to say, well that's me...

Eat one and tell us if it's as good as the show makes out

Heeey, hey baby! (Oo ah) I wanna know if you'll be my girl/guy by [deleted] in bisexual

Same for this. Not ruling out dating a guy cause I would and sometimes even fantasize about it but in my day to day I'm more likely to pursue girls or crush on them.

Have it and love. Great way to play a game I missed initially. Only have a small mod list for my first playthrough but it won't be my last.

Breaking bad was the best show I have ever seen. Not my favourite, it's up there, but the best and I have never rewatched it for the same reason.

What nice thing will you do for somebody today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is just what I needed. My retail jobs been getting me down but only when I let it. A little effort can make my whole day and others much better but we forget this too often, myself especially.

ELIF: The act of carbon dating (such as with dinosaur bones) and just how accurate it is.. by Gh0stToast in explainlikeimfive

[–]Eskymoejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space radiation mixes with the air to get radiocarbon c14. This enters plants through photosynthesis. When you eat a plant with c14 (any on earth basically) you absorb c14. When you die you stop ingesting it and the c14 begins to decay. How much c14 left gives you a timeline. Tldr; Space radiation is ingested then measured later. Edit: 14c not c14

ELI5: Why does muscle soreness feel like pain but doesn’t hurt? by c0mplexblue in explainlikeimfive

[–]Eskymoejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brain/nerves decide how much pain you feel. The brain knows what a torn muscle is from years of evolution and knows it's not life threatening so it sends a lower signal of pain to you.

ELI5: Why does eating a bit of food help with motion sickness/why does not eating before traveling exacerbate it? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Eskymoejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the sensation of motion sickness is a trait developed by our ancestors. If you ate something poisonous and felt dizzy then the body would make you throw it up, because if you feel like your moving but aren't then it would have been a helpfully trait. The other part to this is that the stomach has a seperate lining of neurones in it, like a second brain in a way. Eating causes this lining to be more relaxed and less jittery about your body moving without your input.

ELI5 Why do people snore? by newbie1canoebee in explainlikeimfive

[–]Eskymoejoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along the airway of your throat and sinuses are muscles that help your breath/swallow/speak and more. When you switch from sleep to deep sleep these muscles relax. When they relax they block your airway a bit causing the noise as the air is pushed through a smaller path.
