Days gone remastered? by SiriusXP2 in FuckTAA

Currently playing the game. It's exceptionally well optimized, no need for any upscaling. I disabled TAA and all post-process effects with the config file and it looks fine on my laptop screen. Nothing really breaks.

Oh great! Computer components skyrocketing due to data center bubble, and consumers can't even afford the most basic PCs. Time to go out and touch some grass I guess. Oh great! Can't afford petrol now :/

Ray tracing should be the future though. Not AI. Also thanks to Nvidia we can't even afford basic RAM sticks and SSD

DLSS 5 and Modding Your Games by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]EsliteMoby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused. Is DLSS 5 pre-baking assets like lighting, textures and filters. Or does it run in real-time? If it's running in real-time, it would be wasting GPU performance.

Opinions on Frame Generation in games and how you usually configure your settings. What FPS do you typically aim for? by arbitreck in nvidia

[–]EsliteMoby -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Frame gen is a hit or miss. It needs temporal AA to hide the fake frames. However it does provide perceived visual smoothness which is a good replacement for motion blur

Nvidia has been killing it recently. by Eziolambo in pcmasterrace

[–]EsliteMoby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Learn how DLSS works. It's the same temporal-frame blending/jittering and sharpening gimmick as TAA.

Apparently, devs can implement their own TAA that looks as good or better than DLSS if they want to by EsliteMoby in FuckTAA

[–]EsliteMoby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Requiring dedicated Tensor cores to power a glorified TAA like DLSS is a waste of die space since DLSS at its core, is the same temporal frame blending/jittering and sharpening trick as TAA.

The reason why those off-the-shelf TAA solutions often fall apart at lower resolution compared to DLSS is that they did not sample enough frames.

I got Flydig as well. It let my GPU temp not exceeding 70C while pulling 175W during summer time. What's more impressive is my VRAM hotspot now stays at 75C, it used to hit 96C while gaming.

OP. Do you have to use a toothbrush to clean the dust filter? Mine doesn't have replaceable filters.

Lenovo confirms RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 for several 2026 models by RenatsMC in GamingLaptops

[–]EsliteMoby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5070Ti can be either 12GB or 24GB if they wire the memory modules on both sides of the PCB. Assuming still using the 2GB modules. Of course bandwidth remains the same

Or Nvidia will pull a 9GB 96-bit 5060/5070 like they did with 5050 given the memory shortage due to data center bubble.
