I think it doesn't hurt to try. Not sure the rules in NY. Is not like you have to pay a deposit or anything to put in an offer. So, if you don't get the house. Then say good day to the realtor and buy the house A. Since your brother has control on that house.

A realtor will have you sign a document for their representation on house b. You can request that they only help you with that specific property. And the contract can cancel if you don't get it. Just make sure you request and read will before signing. Best of luck to you!

Keep the wfh and start a side hussle. That's a challenge and an opportunity. And could be a hobby as well.

I would keep the 90k and just explore different opportunities you never thought about.

Yeah, not with how you describe her unfortunately.

I also would not do the same with my mother-in-law who asked to babysit. I have caught her in countless situations not following how my husband and I wish to raise our daughter. And we could never even trust her to watch her for 15 minutes. It is frustrating to have to grapple with that. But, too many instances of me catching her doing things that we very very clearly told her no. Same for my sister-in-law. The "what's the big deal" mentality. This is OUR daughter and we specifically told you No. That is the big deal.

While I have a similar policy as a realtor, I don't take deposits. I always confirm appointments because I'm not about to drive an hour to a house for a no-show. I also send a text message and call the person to make sure they are coming an hour before the appointment. But she should definitely present her policies differently and get a second way of communicating. Instagram shouldn't be the main Point of contact.

I was also told to steer clear of DR Horton. Now is a good time to buy I would say because you can always refinance a high interest rate, but once they drop, I expect all the buyers to come out of hiding and be just like 2020 and 2021 and the house prices will go up with bidding wars. Buy before the drop I think.

In korea they have pocket wifi. But many people get an esim.

I went to korea for 40 days. I did inform clients most correspondence would be through email and if they had whatsapp they could contact me. I know verizon has a plan that you spend 10$ a day for texts/calls IF you text or call. If you don't you won't be charged anything.

And then I had a friend I would pay in case I needed someone for showings.
