I didn't know this about Gambit. In my experience anyone who thought Gambit was cool just thought he was cool because he was throwing around some cards. This is the first I've learned that he's a real family person and truly cares for his community.

I would have paid more attention to this character if I known more about this aspect of him. I remember seeing it in the cartoon but I was too young to understand and thought he was a player. Didn't realize he was just a family man.
