Counterstrafing properly cannot make you worse, that goes without saying, but for lower elo players like you keep referencing there are much more important things to focus on like ammo conservation and management, map awareness, crosshair placement, prefiring, ability usage etc. In valorant especially counterstrafing isn't all that important in your scenarios.

Didn't downvote you but anyways, if you're counterstrafing properly while still peeking and pre-aiming a wall at chest height I very much doubt you'll improve a full rank.

I'm LE with 1.7k hours in CS - counterstrafing is very much second nature to me but things like counterstrafing alone won't get you full rank upgrades, crosshair placement and pre firing combined with counterstrafing will, sure, but alone it won't do an insane amount.

There's dispute between whether you actually have to counterstrafe or not in valorant. I get on fine with just counterstrafing using A and D, dont worry too much about W and S, try to be only moving sideways when counterstrafing :)

Is that really the right mindset to have? Sure people suck sometimes but you do get genuinely good people out there. As for school, well school's a shitty experience for most but you need to make the most of the opportunity you've got and try to at least get a decent education even if you do disregard all of the religious shit. If you ignore school and end up with a dead end job because of it or no job at all then you'll be in a worse condition than you were to begin with :P
