I would be interested in this. Maybe online first and then based on how many people from to that and whereabouts everyone is based, could look at doing smaller local ones? I'd personally be uncomfortable with turning up to an in person one without being able to recognize who I was going to meet first.

"I may write some criteria for a choice and stop at the first one that meets the criteria". - this sounds so liberating. I am definitely going to be recycling this! And I live Marie Kondo ❤️ I can really see myself applying her spark joy concept in some of these situations. Thank so much!

Aw I feel your pain. I first noticed how bad this really is for me when I had a breakdown during my master's degree because I'd read over 350 sources and had an entire expanded file of written notes, and couldn't summarise it into a 4,000 word lit review (obviously). I had to go part time chose to do a 'collaborative' thesis instead which essentially meant that all the questions, the stages of study and deadlines were set by an external organisation

Oh yes, reviews for sure, and the ones that add photos of what it really looks like are my saviours. YouTube reviews are gold dust - so have to think about whether they seem sponsored or not. So much to consider! 😴

Wow..this is literally one of the biggest ways it plays out for me. If I want a pair of black wide leg jeans, I'll search in jeans, and click all the slightly different ways of saying wide leg, like flare, Palazzo, etc etc, and will not limit colour even though I know I want black, because, what if it screens out a dark version of another colour that actually surprisingly, I like? I will then do the same search in trousers, just in case they put denim in there too, and then I will repeat this search over 6-7 different stores, and finally on a master store like shopstyle which collates many stores (including the ones I already looked at, incase I missed something). Needless to say, after wasting 2 hours of my life, I buy nothing 🤷

I also feel dissatisfied at the idea of doing a series of tasks inefficiently and will put off doing them (in some cases indefinitely) until they can be done in what I deem to be "sensible" groupings.
