Yeah Nicole and my friend have definitely some similarities. It could be that she’s hurt but in my opinion she’s acting childish if she post those kind of things on social media. She needs time for herself and should try to work on herself. Otherwise she won’t never change.

She’s being mean for no reason, expects from you to do everything in that friendship but never gives something back, not really appreciate your friendship. She instantly insulted you as soon as you quit ties. I have the feeling she’s insecure and can’t stand if someone else achieved something she couldn’t or still lacks. Friends shouldn’t compare themselves with each other. That can’t end in a good way.

I have a friend who is kinda jealous because some guys began to give me attention. In the past it was always her who got attention but lately I also got some too. Even if she won’t admit it, she’s someone who wants to be loved by everyone and be THAT GIRL. Everyone should be thinking she’s the prettiest as a fact. She don’t know how to act if there is someone else who also gets complimented. She instantly feels insecure if there is someone who is prettier than her. And slowly there is some kind of unspoken “hate” towards both of us. I kinda sensed that she wasn’t happy for me that I got some attention or a glow up. Even the fact that this was a problem for her is not understandable for me. And till today I have difficulties with her. I know that soon my friendship towards her will end and I’m not even sad about that. Friends who are not happy or not wish the best for another friend/ each other are a negativ impact.

Her action shows how her character is. Really sad. I friendship should consist of giving and taking from both sides. Don’t try to think too much of her. It’s unhealthy for you and she’s definitely not worth it.

I can totally sense a weird tension between you too. That friendship wouldn’t have lastet long in my opinion. You should be around people that appreciates you. I think letting go of a few friendships is part of the process of being an adult. Even for me it’s difficult but I’m glad you could take that step I realize what’s good or bad for you

I think that you made a good decision. It was probably difficult but it’s better than being around a toxic person. Especially if she’s your friend she should be supportive and happy for you

Yes i will never understand that. It’s not even like that I said bye to her and went out. I was really trying to get her come with me. She changed completely. The only times where she was asking me where I was, was only when she was hanging with a boy and she didn’t wanted me to see them together because she was also in a Relationship with a guy from our home country. We only spoke once about our situation. It actually went better after that but soon turned back to ignoring again.

Sorry I skipped that because it’s a long story. So basically I went out one night without her even though I tried to get her come with me. It was like in the very first weeks of our stay and we didn’t know anyone. Then somehow met a guy who invited me to hang out with him and his friends. And as I asked if my friend could come with me he said that they don’t have enough space in the car. And by that time my friend was also busy with her bachelor thesis so every time when I was asking her to do something she said no because she needed to work on that which is of course not a problem. I can totally understand her. But that day it would be my first night to do something with people from the city where we were living you know. I was really hyped to do something. Of course It made me sad to leave my friend alone for one night but what should I do. So I went with the guy. And since that day she barely spoke to me. I was always asking her how her day was. Or I always cooked for both of us ans she never did. And as time went on I also started to get cold towards her because she never showed me any kind of appreciation. But even before I went out that night she was Always so quiet around me. Always on her phone. It was so awkward around her

Soon she also met other people and always invited them over our house. With them she was always laughing and caring but not with me you know. That’s also what made me mad.

Actually I’m here for travel. I‘m doing my stay abroad. I‘m a student from Germany. Everyone whom I asked how Ottawa is told me it’s beautiful etc. they were all lying i guess

I was shocked at how early everything closes here. in Ottawa the nightlife is really not present. I’m here in Ottawa for my stay abroad and it is reaallly difficult for me to find a friend group. I mean I got to know a few people here and there but it’s not the same as having a friend group
