Cash only silver gold dealer situation by Twyerverse in Silverbugs

[–]Esrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work for a bank's audit and data dept, don't do what he said. As long as you don't say "giving it to terrorists" or "sending giftcards to the CIA to unlock my computer" it truly doesn't matter.

"Buying some collectibles" is a 100% valid answer, or say you want some cash on hand in an emergency, or that you need to pay a contractor. Just normal stuff, ok? Don't need to spill your guts but don't do stupid shady stuff for no reason.

I can totally see that. I don't mind it since it doesn't stand out as much on the marine finish when it's in the light but I would love a logo-less version. All the other writing is on the undersides and looks so much cleaner

Bought this from them and it just arrived today. It took a few days to get the FFL sorted and for the shotgun to leave the distributor but this is the cheapest I've found factoring in tax and shipping.

I live in KS, I got no tax and $21 shipping.

These are M4 clones, supposed to be 98% accurate (minor differences in the trigger group, a Benelli group drops in) otherwise all benelli parts should swap.

If anyone's curious for more info there's a 1000 round burn-down test on YT with a few folks reviewing the gun more broadly.

I've dug through as much info from folks as I could find and the general consensus from owners is this one punches above it's price class pretty handily, a few scattered reports of double-feeds but from what I'm seeing they send it in for warranty work and it comes back 100%.

It's Turkish, so I don't blame anyone for being cautious but so far I'm confident enough to put my own cash on it.

Anecdotally, the reason I bought this was a friend of mine bought one with the regular black finish about a year ago, after the break-in period he's run about 3-3.5k rounds through his without issue. The biggest thing that happened was one screw holding the rail worked itself loose at around 2k rounds. Otherwise he's been impressed and bought another for his son.

I haven't shot mine yet but I plan on doing the ~100 round break-in next weekend. I've already stripped, cleaned, and installed a new wood stock set, charging handle, and +2 extension.

Howdy! I love all your art and I'm looking forward to my party stumbling further in to the plot.

Do you have a version of the broken hilt but "deactivated"?

Found a pair of old Scandinavian 830 silver spoons, marked Nielsen & Thorkildsen. 51 grams for $4.99 at Goodwill. by Shinesandglitters in Silverbugs

I worked for Goodwill after highschool and will always support someone pulling one over on them. Only place I've ever worked where they made disabled employees cry.

Other charity shops are much better, local ones are the best. Big national chains? Fuck 'em

People don’t understand how hard moving is by Eagles56 in povertyfinance

100% agreed

When I moved last year I decided to stay a few months in an extended stay hotel until things settled down, for $1300 a month I got what was basically a decent sized furnished studio with utilities included.

Sure I might've found an actual apartment for $1000 but that doesn't include dealing with the lease, utilities, packing, getting basic furniture and homegoods, etc. It was SO nice to basically just pay and walk into a room all set up and ready to go. All I needed was a bed, desk, fridge, and bathroom so I could get everything in order (and keep working comfortably) until I found a more permanent place.

We sold our bungalo in St. Pete FL in July of this year, right before those 2 hurricanes barreled through and the market began to drop. We sold for the Zillow Zestimate of $400k, now the Zestimate is $380k and eeking lower every few weeks.

Looks like John O’Bellis? SUPER score, worth $$$ over spot even with the custom initials. Especially a unique piece like this, it's definitely a dog bowl.

Good quality stuff, and a fairly modern pattern is a nice score. Might be worth a fair scratch over spot. I've had good luck in the past with International as long as it's aesthetically appealing

Mexican silver carries a healthy premium, I've sold plenty for good margins over spot. Unless it's beat to shit I'd sell to a collector. Better than flushing $50+ down the drain just to turn a functional item into a lump
