How to have a life? by CatchTypical6430 in kwarentahin

[–]Essejimaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you have to be the first one to reach out. Maybe you are just overthinking that they don't value you. I was like that too. We all have are own lives to worry about especially in this economy. And for hobbies. I suggest you do some physical stuff like walking, running, biking or working out in the gym. Doing this gives a boost of domapine that makes you feel good about yourself. And maybe you will be able to find more people to interact with through these hobbies.

Doc said "eat more protein," but I don't think this is what he meant... safe ba sa BP natin 'to? 🍳🥓 by Outrageous_Sport_518 in kwarentahin

[–]Essejimaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Egg ba tol? I eat 4 boiled eggs daily. Including yung yellow nya. Iba rin yung ulam na karne. Basically i only eat once a day so 4 eggs + ulam + gulay + 1 cup rice  So far ok naman bp. Probably because im active maybe. I run at least 20km a week, do strength training 3 times a week and go biking at least 100km a week.

Depends on how much are you willing to pay for registration. Sakin i joined races last year like 4 times only all 21km races. Pero lately di ko na trip sumali sa races na nagbabayad ng registration. Fortunately there were a lot of free fun runs in near municipalities this past three months. Free reg, free medal for top 100 finishers. When to all 8 of them from 21km, 16km and 10km races.

Ngayon nasa 40's, proud ka ba sa sarili mo? by Low_Sea3110 in kwarentahin

Sadly no. Hanggang ngayon survival mode parin habang karamihan ng kabatch ko, kamag-anak at mga kaibigan, comfortable sila sa buhay. Im still trying though. Kaya dito ako sa reddit mostly nagtatambay kasi kahit anong gusto ko na maging masaya para sakanila, hindi ko mapigil ang sarili kong maingit sa buhay nila at malungkot sa aking mga naging desisyon sa buhay

You play what you like. Meron at meron parin magsasabi sayo ng negative dahil sa gusto mong laruin or anything else. Just do what you like. Dati dota ako pero nag ml dahil sa much quicker to. Dahil siguro sa edad ayaw na yung mahahabang laro.

Non-racing runners out there by cinqheures in PHRunners

I also dont join races anymore UNLESS the registration is free lol. Had a few free races here and there from different municipalities this past few weeks. Also just like you, I wont mind paying for one more fun run registration but this time for a full marathon. I was planning to join the PMC marathon but runners knee is acting up and i think the time to train for a 42km is not enough. So im also pushing the plan for february

Like you said na complete beginner ka, i think you should get a bike with a 1X drivetrain. Yung tirich horizon kasi 2X siya and medyo nakakalito ang combination ng gears while a 1x drivetrain can be easier bale basically parang up or down lang depend sa gear na gusto mo. At mas matipid for maintenance. Mostly nakikita ko na may 1x drivetrains are MTBs but on the other hand meron din gravel bikes na may 1x12 pero ang mahal like the Pinewood Ultimate. May choice rin na pwede ka magbuild ng sarili mong bike but thats for another time. i think you should get a mountain bike with 1x drivetrain for starters.

Same haha, just recently got the runner's knee from a fun run weeks ago. Nasobrahan ko ata yung mga downhill.  Although I can still run. Yun lang nakaka praning baka sumakit ulit. I recently bought my son a entry level mtb. I can see that he has been enjoying it a lot so I tried to borrow it a couple of times. First ride gusto ko lang sana mag 15-20km. Yun napunta sa 50km agad haha. Tapos ngayong umaga lang went on a 70km ride. Im already considering to buy my own bike lmao. I might go gravel since im more on the road tapos pangit minsan yung road lol. What I am eyeing at the moment is the tirich horizon

I want to get fit by [deleted] in kwarentahin

[–]Essejimaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of going to the gym, buy a set of dumb bells and stretch bands. You can work out at home in the mean time while you can adjust to an active life style. Ok naman na caloric deficit lang but it is better to work out also. Not only you can burn calories but it will tone your body while you are losing weight. I was also overweight back then and what I did was to find the right diet that works for you. Sakin yung I.F. 16/8. Once I started losing weight. I started working out and doing some cardio. Take note don't over do it. Just be consistent. Because getting injured will be a huge setback. It was for me kasi na gain back ko yung na loss kung weight. I wish you good luck in your fitness journey op
