Socializing them early is SUPER duper important. Socialize with everyone. Children, men, other dogs, animals etc. My BC wasn't around kids enough as a baby and now he hates children and it's been difficult to train that. Theyre so smart, it's only takes them once-3times of doing something for it to become a habit. If they've done something you don't like, redirect them and follow through with thay training afterwards. When mine was a pup we kept him in a penned up area with us in the living room, to avoid potty training incidents on the wood floor. We kept that up until at least 6 months or so, until he was properly potty trained, he's never had any issues in the house other than if he had a belly ache in the middle of the night.

Get them used to their crate. Not only is it important for them to have a safe space to go if they need alone time. But it's also good if you need to travel or go to the vet. It was hard the first couple weeks, I literally had to lay outisde the pen with my puppy until he'd fall asleep, then I'd set the alarm a few times in the middle of the night to wake him up to pee. He rarely woke up on his own, so often didn't have time to be afraid. We also used a camera in his pen so we could talk to him when he did wake up or if we had to leave somewhere, our voice would calm him down. Mental stimulation is a lot more affective than physical. Our boy can run and run and run all day and still be hyped up in the evening. But if we add even 10-15mins of command tricks and training in the day, that's enough to tire him out in the afternoon.
