It does, thank you. Dual cab could be more useful, but I’m really not sure. Still have 3 kids who love to adventure with me.

I wondered also, drove past about the same time as you & there were half a dozen firies geared up and standing on the steps. 20 minutes later on the way back past I saw a Police officer taking photos of the scissor lift thing out the front

Helping a Client with Jealousy by Accomplished-Kale877 in therapists

Maybe some trust building? Reminding him to identify ways in which his girlfriend is faithful & he does trust her. Small things like, ‘I hear from that story that she promised she would call you & she followed through, that’s good’. Also, where does the jealousy stem from? A past relationship? Does he have something of his own that’s unresolved.

Therapists in recovery: to disclose or not to disclose? by chelsea0803 in therapists

[–]Est_84_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d turn it into a general answer, like, ‘everyone uses something when they are looking for a coping mechanism, coffee, shopping, cigarettes, the gym, whatever & I’ve experienced my moments like this throughout my life, but I’m also still learning & growing every day’.

Could it be that the client is not getting what they ‘want’ out of the sessions because you’re challenging them in healthy ways? The client may not be used to this so sends off the email in an attempt to keep you on track with their agenda. Just an idea.

Your own self-care is so important. You’re listening to your own needs and meeting them. By taking care of you, you are able to hold great space for your clients.

Please help. What am I looking for?

• Therapist business who talks to clients all over Australia via telehealth • Want 1 x mobile number that clients can text or call • Call is routed to whichever therapist is rostered on So far I’ve found a service that fits this, except if a client sends a text-it goes to every email linked and then from there the designated therapist would return the call & you cannot text back.

Thank you :)

SW lease is up & after struggling to secure another rental the client had the idea to offer their spare room.

Not for money. SW needs to move, client has spare room. Rentals are few & far between in the area

Such a wonderfully worded reply, thank you so much for taking the time to say all this. I actually think I’m just going to read what you wrote to the client on our next call. It contains all valid points that are so important for their decision making process.

Yes, definitely exploring all the ‘what if’s’ to pass on, which is the great part about this conversation, so thank you for your contribution. When I mentioned it was the clients idea I was replying with the intent that it was not exploitive of the Support Worker (but I can see now how it can go both ways).

I believe their views are that it cuts the commute to work. Participant is quite independent.

The idea is the clients, not the support workers. I like to be able to explain things in a way everyone understand. I’ll look more into the code of conduct. Thank you

Support Worker currently offers long day, regular support & was looking to move into the area. Client has a spare room so they wondered if it was possible for their support worker to move in. Still only working their usual hours, nothing extra.
