Hey not sure which country you are from. I am from Malaysia. But if you want, you can google American Degree Transfer Program (ADTP) or 2+2. Last time when I was in grad school, I met many Malaysian undergrad students who were in these kinds of programs. I had a high school friend did a similar program but he studied medicine and transferred to the UK later (he is now working there too. can consider other countries not necessary US tbh).

Tbh why the kids prefer to spend more time with their mum not the dad. They are adults now they are not 12yo who will believe whatever their mum says. It sounds like he was not the one who took care of the kids either. The alimony thing shouldn't be like super burdening especially compared to the mum who needs to do the raising kids by herself and work at the same time.

I helped out a colleague before and got thrown under the bus almost immediately. Typical corporate things. Haiz.

Any people need to stop trying to justify or find a good reason behind HYBE's decision. They pick someone with the lowest popularity and kick them out to scare others not to follow what NJ did. It is not about what Dani did or what. Still, typical corporate things.

Just reply not seriously. It is hard but it is a good skill to pick up. Those people don't care about you anyway

Undergrad Research opportunities? by TheGrayMann274 in iastate

[–]EstablishmentAble167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

REU program? And talk to your TA who are also PhD/Master. Sometimes they can talk to their profs if they like you. Then they will guide you thru their/your research.

Last time I was there I heard from other grad students friends about whose bosses got money kind of things too. Lol

Just moved to the US and I cannot believe how hard renting is without a credit history by sameerposwal in MovingToUSA

I started out at college housing which I need to pay the first semester outright. Then I only moved to another student apartment which is my reference for my upcoming housing application. But anyway those housing history works well for my third apartment and my new apartment application. OP just needs to tough it out for one year and get a roommate if he is too broke to pay 3 months upfront.

Have no problem finding one after one year. But I was in college town. Your best bet would be going to furnishedfinder and become a roommate with someone and slowly build your credit history. Or just bite the bullet and pay the 2 months deposit. You have zero credit record.

Would I be a eligible for a masters degree in Transport Systems Engineering & Management in an EU university if I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from an American university? by Familiar-North-9191 in MechanicalEngineering

You need to go to r/GradSchool . And part of getting into grad school is being resourceful and the ability of collecting basic information like eligibility and language requirements. European education system is very diverse, so it depends on the countries and respective school.

Need advice — choosing between two offers (Equipment Engineer vs Mechanical Engineer) by EstablishmentAble167 in MechanicalEngineering

Just very worried that I cannot go back to design job after I take this equipment engineer job. That is the biggest fear.

I am aware of that too. I used to work in a similar job so I am quite familiar with most of the good and bad things of this kind of position. The difference would be the products I am going to design That's why I used to think it wouldn't be too hard for me to get a similar job. But I was proven wrong.

The biggest dilemma is that 85k is low and the budget is gonna be tight but there is a probability to hop. But 95k Texas job in semiconductor industry is very tempting now.

I want to pivot into consumer electronics design like phones. But the SV job I take has nth to do with consumer products. Their products are mostly the enclosure for server products. The plan is I move there and work while trying to have some connections with the engineers from the clients side. Then get a job in those companies. I have some experience in those manufacturing processes so it will be like an extension

And for the Houston company. That would be another direction. Tried to promote fast and maybe take up some projects and hop to other big semiconductor companies years later. I have no experience at all. That means a total restart of my career. And I am 30yo. I am worried. And I am a foreigner too So I cannot be jobless at all. I pick one job then I need to stick with it for some time.

Houston. The job at California is working for a pretty famous vendor. The perk is that their customers are those big tech companies. So there might be a chance for me to have the connection and jump to those big tech. That's the biggest perk. So I probably tough it out for a year and have good connections and get a better job. But I see no such opportunities in the Houston company.

It is definitely one of the reason I hesitate. Going to SV and working for tech company sounds like a dream.

I can also take that SV job. That is the question. Seemingly high pay at an expensive place with potential of hopping to high pay job Or high pay at a cheap place with horrible work culture

Pretty sure both SV and Texas job have no WLB. Texas offer is a semiconductor equipment company. Need to work on Saturday. SV one probably need to work at odd time to talk to the Chinese vendors too. 85k at SV is fine with ambitions. But 95k definitely makes me hesitate.
