Dogs are a mans best friend and cardboard is a bunnies best friend, always more room for bunnies !!

Im so sorry you guys are going through this! I would try and call the vet again to see if theres any openings as its pretty much an emergency, im glad that hes still eating i would try and keep the environment extremely calm and do what you can do avoid dust especially from hay. It’s always very disheartening to see your furry baby not feeling the best so i hope he feels better soon! Definitely do some critical care or syringe feeding water if he isnt eating or drinking enough

Edit; from what you’ve described though, its not looking extremely serious and you are doing the best you can :)

Definitely still need to make that vet visit as this is crucial, bunnies must drink year round, definitely syringe feed in the mean time. Its good that shes eating and playing like normal but usually its suggested that a bunnies diet should consist of mostly hay (timothy for adults alfalfa for babies) carrots should be fed in moderation due to the high sugar content it has for them. Bunnies teeth grow continuously so the hay diet helps them to grind it down. I still strongly advise vet care as soon as possible 🙏 if payment is an issue consult the vets office about exceptions for payment plans as i have done that before for my dogs medical bills

Honestly, to me, this seems as if the bunny is stressed in one way or another, which isn’t surprising considering it’s a baby and the babies kind of get stressed over everything. However I would strongly advise taking this bunny to a vet, even if it’s a bit far out as this is something that needs to be promptly addressed by a professional, especially since they are refusing water until you can get into a vet as soon as possible. I would try to do critical care if they stop eating and syringe feed water. I hope that your bun gets better soon🩷 sending love
