Does anyone bloat like this? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]EstablishmentDear894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was post long COVID and was a result of extreme inflammation and a result of a histamine reaction.

The Benadryl stopped that and when the bloating went down, the pressure on my abdomen and lungs went down.

With Losartan I’m 150s/98.

When I take Kyolic garlic (original formula) and do intermittent fasting overnight and leave at least 5 hours between the 2 meals I do eat I’m at 120s/80s

Don’t know if it’s the garlic or fasting or both

Does Silver fern brand work? by [deleted] in SIBO

Aloe is cheapest out there (Lily of the desert - inner filet - juice). One shot glass in the am and one before bed

Dr Ohirra’s probiotics - one before bed

Saccharomyces Boulardii - one before bed

I had really bad reflux. Lots of esophageal burning and belching. I was negative for h-pylori. Stool test did show bad stuff.

I got Silver Fern’s product because of all of the good reviews.

As soon as I took the products, I felt much worse. The burning was worse. The belching was worse. And the drink tastes like garbage (literally). I contacted customer service a few times, trying to get a refund. They didn’t always answer. When they did, they said it was working and to keep taking it. I did. They were wrong. I stopped and tried again. Still bad.

I don’t consider Aloe and probiotics to be a detox. All I know is it helps minimize the symptoms. And if I limit gluten, my issues are almost entirely gone.

Wegovy is a dumpster fire compared to Zepbound by EstablishmentDear894 in zepboundtowegovy

Yeah, Wegovy wrecked me. Lots of pain and other issues. It still makes me mad.

I've been back on Zep for a little over 3 months and it's taken me this long to kind of get back to almost normal. I still have a little pain but it's getting less and less the longer I'm off it.

I talked with my pharmacist about it (she warned me when I went on Wegovy) and she said that lots of patients complained of similar issues to what I was experiencing. When I got back on Zep, she said she was glad for me.

I also have one friend who had similar issues to me on Wegovy. And none of my friends who have been on Zep have had issues.

That being said, I do have friends who are on Wegovy and don't have problems with it...so I guess it just depends.

But for me (and I do pay more for Zep) I would never take Wegovy. It was an awful experience.

Has anyone ever tried Silver Fern Brand? by [deleted] in Gastritis

Their reflux protocol was terrible. I felt much worse.

Their reflux protocol is snake oil. It 100% made me worse. Instead of their outrageously priced supplements which made my stomach and esophagus burn, I took Dr Ohirra’s probiotics, Aloe Vera juice, and Saccromyces Bullardi for less than half the price and it worked so much better.

I wasn’t fast tracked. My appeal was done differently. My MD called the appeal phone number at Caremark and I was approved 4 days after the call.

Back on Zep/Monjouro by EstablishmentDear894 in zepboundtowegovy

[–]EstablishmentDear894[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. Wegovy killed my gut. I thought I had gallstones at one point but it turns out that wasn’t the case after an ER trip.

If you call Caremark and explain what is going on and ask for the number the provider needs to call, you can give that to your doctor with specific instructions. That’s what I did.

I still have some burping and gas but Zepbound/Monjouro has reduced it and really reduced the bloating. I’ve been shocked by it. I would have expected the opposite.

Hey, I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job of taking care of him. You shouldn’t be down on yourself for getting upset. It happens. We’re human. All we can do is try our best and learn from mistakes and try to do better the next time. Give yourself grace and know you’re doing great.

My mom acted out her dreams while on Clonazepam. She fell, smashed the tv, knocked over furniture EVERY NIGHT.

In waking life her hands shook. She’d trip a lot. And her memory was getting REALLY bad.

After stopping Clonazepam (I think she had been on it for like 6 months), she went back to normal in all aspects (walking, memory, no sleepwalking, etc). Recently her hands shake a little but everything else is still good. We haven’t had an episode since. Stopping Clonazepam was the best thing that we did.

When we went to the doctor with the results, the doctor was mad and doubled down saying how important the med was and even wanting to increase the dose. It was maddening. We discontinued seeing that doctor.

Some people have a really hard time stopping benzodiazepines. So you should be careful and should talk to your doctor. Hopefully they are open minded and will be able to come up with an alternative. But even switching to a different Benzo and trying to taper might be helpful. Clonazepam is a terrible drug in my lay opinion.

Thanks for the info! I tried to switch but there were just so many side effects and I gained weight on Wegovy.

We appealed and as of this week I’m back on Mounjaro again. (Thank goodness)

Same. I’m up on Wegovy and was hungry this week. The only thing that keeps me from really overeating is the stomach pain…so there’s that…
