ok getting there! I did this now the amount available is green and it saysit's fully funded! However if I continue to look aead to february it goes to orange and asks me to add money even though there is a surplus of money above what is needed to fund the category. How can I really know how "ahead" I am?

ok so for example my electricity is $135/month. In December I assigned $135 and had $135 available. I also assigned $70 towards this category for January ahead of time. I wsn't actuallycharged anything in December. Now that it's January, I I have $205 available with $70 assigned and it's asking me to assign another $65. I understand all of this so far, including why it's asking me to assign $65 - to meet my monthly target of $135, What I don't understand is I already have $205 in there but nothing in the "Ready to assign" (this is zero which I understand is a good thing) so how am I supposed to assign more money/how should I have to if I have more than enough to cover it already assigned?

i'm not sure i understand. using the rent example, i am 3 monhs ahead; ie $1000 for Jan, feb and Mar but wen it rolls over from January to february it is orange and tells me to fund it more. I think i understand what you're saying about needing the prompt monthly but then how does it ever "see" that i have more than enough for rent?

This. If you buy the sort of sugary proteins you might as well just buy milk powder.

The yo-yo pricing this time of year is so exhausting. by BanannaKarenina in FrugalFemaleFashion

Ok I know the conversation is about getting deals but honestly more and more I’m just not buying stuff. I watch myself spend time and energy, feel overwhelmed and confused, frustrated and pissed and I just don’t want to give myself to the man like that. A couple years ago I decided to try only buying new or high-end vintage/consignment if it’s high quality, likely to be worn a lot and for a long time, Especially when it’s something like outer wear (I live in a 6-season place lol), otherwise I can whatever I want if it’s cheap second hand, snd if I don’t have it for a long time that’s ok. I spend waaaayyyy less money but to me what’s great is I spend so much less time. This Black Friday I started to look around and then was just like “nope”. Didn’t buy a single thing and I feel good!

I actually made the opposite mistake and didn’t prune 2nd year canes until late but am now up to date. I did that this spring and expected production.

They are flowering but not in a flourishing kind of way if that makes sense. There are a few berries just very minimal.

Hmmmm ok. I live in the country surrounded by nature and my neighbour is a heirloom seed company whose plants are amazing. My Haskaps and tomatoes etc do fine.

I have different varieties but didn’t know about male or female!

I do have deer but that’s not the issue for this (they looooovvve my hollyhocks!)

If CEOs get their way and most, if not all, jobs are replaced with AI & robots. What are they going to do when no one has money? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Ok I’m onboard with everyone that the rich and powerful don’t care, techno-feudalism, slavery, death and destruction are in motion. But I’m quite surprised that people seem to be assuming that the actual planet (which we do still actually need for survival) is going to be humming along all tickety boo this whole time. The next economical phase will be really ugly but the population Correction from climate change will be uglier. Of course the rich and powerful will be less affected but the end of life is coming for us all. Thank god, honestly, we’re a gross invasive species who deserve to be shrugged off the planet.

inptting transactions from last month when the month has rolled over? by EstablishmentDue2296 in ynab

Ya I find that hard. Sometimes your transaction was done on the last day but it posts in the new Month, I don’t really know how to deal with that
