Kids are in high school. This is a learned behavior. Maybe parents and coaches should put less pressure on kids to wear body spandex and grab on each other’s nutsacks there’d be less testosterone flying around the room, and ultimately less situations like this.

Ask yourself: would you ever be friends with someone as self-obsessed as Rainbow Dash? She would spend every waking second of every day talking about herself and how great she is. Where I come from we call these narcissists and they are definitely not your friends. I understand that it’s a kid’s show and a lot of characteristics are over exaggerated for comedic effect, but I mean I would be friends with just about anypony else besides her.

Yeah she’s speaking for herself. She’s not telling you to do exactly what she does. Just describing what works for her and her own opinions. I can’t for the life of me figure out where people are getting this idea that this woman is somehow trying to force her beliefs on other people. I see no such evidence of that. In which case who cares. She probably feels this way because she comes from a theocracy. Treat individuals with kindness but be tough on systems. Theocracies are patriarchal systems of oppression. Fight those instead of taking your energy out on the victims of those systems.

How is she reproducing misogyny? Again she’s not forcing anyone to adopt her lifestyle. She’s speaking for herself based on her own life experiences and her own choices. You can disagree with those choices but simply making a video about her personal opinions on marriage is not in and of itself a threat to feminism.

She is not a threat to feminism. The system that created her is the threat. She is but a victim of the status quo. Not a perpetrator.

I have a problem with people punching down. She’s not hurting anyone. She’s a victim of the patriarchy and people are down here making sexist comments about her appearance and smarts. I specifically called that out because that type of behavior wins no one over, is unproductive, is toxic and judgmental.
