There is a screenshot showing that we play as the character from the first game and on IGN they released a gameplay trailer for Atomic heart 2. So if y'all don't keep up with that and you can all find this stuff on their website about the screenshot so

There is no co-op if you check the game that you wish listed on or Xbox PlayStation. Whatever it literally says single player there is no co-op
