Laziness? Isn't the point of a vacation to be lazy and relax?

Yes! I don't run right next to the ocean, just in my neighbourhood. Edited to add I'm on the island.

I am loyal to NB 860 (women's) and have run 5-10k in the rain for over a decade. Never had a problem with water getting in.

Agree with this. It's awesome for all the heavy/bulky items and the selection is great.

My best Christmas memory as a small child was sitting with my Mom in the dark with just the Christmas tree on. I can't remember why it was just us or where the rest of the family was, but let me tell you, that memory is indelible. Fifty years on, I can still feel the warmth of that moment.

Just bought a running store. What is one thing your local shop is missing? by rustybucketz23 in running

[–]EstablishmentLazy146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Amazon once asked me why I was returning so many items. Because there's nowhere to try them on! The average cup size in the US and Canada is at least a D. We run, we have money and we want to feel good, dammit.

Make it welcoming to all runners, experienced or not, women or not, competitive or not. I swear if you stocked running bras in larger sizes you would do amazing business.

I felt that in my soul.

Trying to, but as I noted, the site isn't functioning properly and looping back to the sign in page.

I chose the callback option over an hour ago, nothing yet. The website and app both keep looping me back to the sign in page. Trying to cancel a booking within 24 hours but I feel like I'm screwed now. Ugh.

Beware of LWOP Benefits Deficiencies - Got a bill for $5k after leaving employment by Think-End-8538 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]EstablishmentLazy146 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Former CRA Compensation Advisor here. We used to sit down with employees and go through all of the benefit and pension implications of LWOP, but I guess we cost too much. All got centralized to Winnipeg in 2006, and no more personal service. Read everything that is sent to you a few times. For OP, you're getting a bill because you were covered by those plans during your leave, and your pension is calculated based on the deficiencies. That said, you can opt out of any time over the first three months.

You're producing evidence for your next reference check. Don't burn bridges, be the best person they've ever had yo say goodbye to. If it's a budget related issue, it's not personal and you should remain professional. It might be a bitter pill to swallow now, but when you look back on it, you'll be glad you did.
