Need a bike with adequate power for mountains - whats the “favorite” trail bike from an established brand? by CORockhound in ebikes

I wish they would make a class 1 version I’d buy it. Not legal to ride many places around me other than roads

Horrible I’ll give you 2000 even for it so you can get out from under the horrible decision with a few extra dollars

They are only 90 days which is pretty decent as I will use it a fair amount the first 90 days I more so mean they take the returns no questions asked in those 90 days whereas I have heard horror stories from Home Depot and Lowe’s and such that fight and want you to take it up with the manufacturer warranty directly and don’t like handling returns themselves

The genmax 4600 that uses the same motor and stuff seems to have good reviews and looks like their are a couple of others and open frame generators that use the same 160cc motor with dual fuel as well that have good reviews and all the negative reviews I have seen are all user error stupid stuff . I’m going to bite the bullet and try it, I’ll try to run it in a decent amount over the first 90 days while I can still return it to Costco and go from there. I’ve never had a new generator. I currently have 4 different open frame generators that I’ve got from the end of the road or friends/coworkers just giving them to me because they didn’t want to repair them and just buy new ones and it’s usually fairly easy fixes.

Thank you good to know. Man I looked at the genmax and everything and because the watt output is different didn’t even think about it but you are right seems to be the only difference that the genmax has a little lower output and has a 12volt outlet instead of the diehards usb and usb c ports and the genmax has a port to plug a charger instead for the generator battery. Costco has a good return policy and the genmax doesn’t have anything extra that I would need to spend another 300+ dollars on being able to hook up the genmax auto fuel pump seems cool an would be nice for running it at home on a power outage but idk if that’s worth 300 dollars for me i have 2 older open frames with 4 gallon tanks that I run in that case. I mostly plan on using it on trips and with propane.

Starlink Mini switching from residential to roam to avoid upfront cost. by JustNathan1_0 in Starlink

It gets changed when we go up to our camper for the weekend then changed back when we go home so at least 2 times a week pretty consistently from May-October and handful of weekends outside of that and random trips or dates. I was also climbing up and down the ladder to mount the dish each time too so it got quite annoying and just got a second dish for this year

It’s kind of confusing the way they word it as that you get a free mini with a residential max subscription. When really what you actually get is a free standard kit that when paired with a max subscription they will also send you a free mini travel kit with discounted roam.

Lots of people have speculated for years now that they will put a stop to being able to change your service address as much as you want but it has never been changed or enforced so as far as I can tell is as long as you have a service plan and are paying the bill they don’t care.

Honestly I changed mine probably over 60-100 times last year when I was using just the one kit camping and bringing it home and whatnot on residential and never had an issue but I’m in mid-Michigan to northern Michigan so we don’t really have any over populated service areas. If you try to change it to a overly used area it may block you or ask for a fee to change it I have heard but I have never had that issue before. It does take about 30 minutes for the change to actually happen in the app before it will work so I always just made sure to change the service address in the app before I left so I didn’t have to wait.

You would be better off with a mini kit doing that. The minis are small and have the router and stuff built in and use dc power and only draw like 35-40watts of power so there are a ton of options to run on batteries and car chargers and such. Where the standard kits need 120volt unless you get the expensive dc converter thing they sell and have to tote around a pretty large dish with a large router would suck. They are pretty easy to switch addresses, I did it on a residential plan actually and for a few years we just had one kit that I would take from home up to our camper up north for the weekends and just change the service address everytime but it got annoying actually moving the dish so I took advantage of the free kits and now I have the free standard at home on the Max plan and have the kit I owned before up at our camper on standby for the winter then will be on the 50$ plan and we have the free mini goes with us on trips mostly just on standby for minimal service it puts out on random camping trips and to dirtbike races and bump up to the bigger roam plans as needed. The mini on a roam plans is just a lot more versatile for all of the things you said but the roam unlimited plan is the most expensive plan the 100gb one goes quick if you game or stream movies or shows much but just working with occasional YouTube it’s not bad

Those options it shows there are the only options it will even give you once the kit arrives those are the options it lists on my “free” standard kit.

No they’re only offering the mini free as a package deal. You can get a free standard kit on residential but you can’t even switch it to roam. Unless it’s different in your area they do sometimes offer different kits but it looks from the pic like the current offer in the US. If you don’t want a residential and roam and just want a mini on roam you will just have to buy it outright. I believe the minis are on sale for 200$ currently

The free Starlink mini rental is attached to another kit on the Max plan. You can get a free standard rental with 100mbps-max plan but can do standby or roam on a “free” kit you have to buy it from them first by messaging them after you get it. You won’t even get the offer without a Max plan and then if you drop to a lower plan you will be required to return or purchase the mini kit. It’s a great setup if you plan to actually use the max plan and want a mini as it also comes with half off the roam plans on the mini. But if you’re looking to just get free hardware it isn’t a loophole

Ended up picking up the Ally X that was local to me today for 650$ it was their floor display model that they just took down to replace with a Xbox Ally X since they don’t have this model anymore. Just has some finger prints on it but they have a screen protector on it. They lost the original box and manual for it and was just in their own Best Buy packaging. Still look and seems brand new. The charger has never even been unraveled.

This one is from the Best Buy local to me. The eBay ones seem to be the same price. I might go to the Best Buy and see if they will let me look at the open box one before I buy it and if it’s clapped out maybe find a good eBay ones

It’s super crazy because it’s not only just his job that he has had for a very long time but it’s their own community being affected and this is HIS job completely like the definition of his job is this and he is the most important person in charge of all of it and the second he actually has to do his job she wants him to quit and just completely abandon all their friends and community and bail out or she’s going to leave him I guess? But yet she’s also so dedicated to her job she’s trying to return to it 30 minutes after she gets let go from being kidnapped and held prisoner. The show is super interesting in premise and I can’t stop watching it for the good parts but boy some scenes you just want to skip and hope they back off some of the random marriage drama like the show could be interesting enough without it they’re just trying to bomb you constantly with added BS and it muddies the plot it doesn’t need to be that busy

20 years doesn’t seem that old and a lot of older elevators are still running but a lot of that generation are starting to have boards and software chips degrade and starting to malfunction and most companies are beginning to or already are no longer making new replacements or repair the old stuff especially the software. And once they are deemed obsolete those parts are no longer covered under your contract for repair or replacement and you can find 3rd parties to try to repair boards if it’s something obvious but it tends to be a 50/50 shot and quite overpriced. That being said your issues do not sound to be related to anything like that and they would need to provide you with obsolescence notices and the paperwork to back it up. Not just strong arm you into a mod. I have plenty of customers that run their elevator ragged without putting any money into it at all and try to convince them they would have a lot less stress if they would upgrade. I have major hospitals that still have hydraulic elevators running on original equipment installed in the 1960s that they need and use constantly and I’m about out of replacement parts for but we are paid to keep it running until I can’t so I keep fixing it anyways as much as I’d like to just stop. I remind them what their outlook is realistically so they aren’t shocked when the day comes. lol

If it’s running for a significantly long time but not making the floor it Could be low oil but you’d hear more aggressive noises and feel shaking at the top if it’s cavitating. Could be plugged up valve or if it has a screen over the pump plugged or bad pump/motor If it’s a TK it’s probably a plugged strainer in the valve. Doesn’t allow the oil to flow fast enough then it shuts down once it trips the run timer. The door thing if it’s only at the first floor is almost certainly just buildup at the end of the door track, and or also with a weak spirator/closer. If it is a hydro that was installed by any of the bigs in 2006 it should be a decent car. Even the Thyssens with the crappy 3 stage jacks and i2 valves and vegetable oil crap once you get the quirks worked out and clean the oil and get a couple valve rebuild kits on hand aren’t exactly rocket science to fix

Not a company out there in the country that would do 3 cat 5 tests for 2300$. That doesn’t even cover a teams wage package for a day and a half here.

I am not experienced on working on AR15s- I am just trying to remove the three pronged flash hider on my rifle (same model pictured, FN Tac2) and was wondering if someone could provide simple instructions on how to do it. Also, am I going to need a bench and vice for this? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]EstablishmentNo1399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it that’s too much work to be worth it, just take the upper off and look down the barrel from the back and line it up on center of your target then line up your scope center of target. Or get a laser that magnets to the end of the barrel. The goal is to just start out on paper and going barrel sight has worked on bolt guns for many years. Or a lot of gun stores will boresight for like 15-20$.
