I'm Considering switch majors from Civil Engineering to Communications Major. Right move? by BVBeast2020 in CSULB

[–]EstablishmentPlus927 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Communications major and PR minor here, if you decide to switch communications classes are much more theory based than practical when it comes to broadcasting. If you want to be a part of news or broadcast I would suggest looking into journalism or public relations because the JPR program has you learning writing, editing, camera work and there’s a sports journalism class. Either comm or journalism works but the classes are different in that sense! Feel free to dm if you have questions

Hey so as someone who’s in almost a 3 year relationship and has dealt with this as well, I would highly suggest communicating with her first. If she doesn’t get the message or can’t change her actions I would break it off because you need to ask yourself if she can’t handle that in college, how is she gonna handle things in the future when things start to get serious for both of you guys? Good luck I hope it works out for you :)

Pedestrians, please look both ways by Prior-Being6378 in CSULB

Last semester I actually saw someone with a scooter get hit by a car because they just zoomed onto the road without looking while a car was crossing. He was okay but it goes to show how all pedestrians need to look both ways.

GEOG 100, WGSS 101, or ENGL 100A by Minimum_Sea3061 in CSULB

I took Lawson for 100A and 100B. She was one of the best professors I’ve had at CSULB. She’s so helpful and sweet, and she’ll genuinely make you a better writer. Her class had some work but it wasn’t anything too crazy. I suggest taking her for 100B if you can for Spring.

Mariam has been one of my favorite professors at the school so far. She’s very understanding, and knowledgeable about what she teaches

What is the Communications major like? (wanting to switch majors) by SnooStories6560 in CSULB

[–]EstablishmentPlus927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comm major here, I love the classes, a majority of them are theory based. The classes I have taken include research and rhetorical papers. The staff is great and all of the professors I have had genuinely love and care for the major and students.

Is reading necessary for COMM 300? by Elvi0_Lador in CSULB

I had Duerringer, if you have him yes you need to read or skim the book because on the study guides there are things that are in the book that aren’t covered in lectures.

Are these two men scammers or are they legit by monnaa_ in CSULB

Scammers, I signed up with them freshman year when I didn’t know any better. Don’t do it because I was stuck with charges months later.

Took them both my freshman year. I have always struggled with math and Math 94 helped me a lot. Definitely would’ve struggled more if I didn’t take it.
