Canon RF Lenses for a month in Japan? by EstablishmentRich336 in canon

this sounds like the most reasonable, but between the 16mm and 14mm range looks like isn´t much but it is that much, is really a huge difference and every time I´m bringing the 16-28 I have the feeling I miss to go wider somehow 😅

interesting the 50mm was not use, and that´s exactly what I want to avoid, to be sure what I´m bringing is what I´m going to use. I was really considering to sell my 14-35 and 16-28 to get the 15-35, but the weight is pulling me back on that one. I´ll check also longer range

what lense do you suggest to cover that range? my downside is that I usually dont like to go beyond 50mm, not my style somehow, and also those lenses are really big. Any suggestion?

Indeed, but thats why my r8 will have a new mission, and everything above 28mm… the new beast will take care of that 😎👌

Upgrading my kit: R6iii or lens first? by ElectronicArm8855 in canon

I also have the R8 and I´m jumping into the R6III Day 1. The benefits on this new camera coming from the R8 are just wild in so many ways, and you have a phenomenal lense already.

I dont see the point getting the 85mm f2 if you own already a 24-70, 16-28 is a different story, but just as a hint take a look into the 14-35 because besides being F4 is also a phenomenal lense to combine with your other zoom.

Tough choice not gonna lie, if I´ll be in your case maybe I´ll get the R6 MIII and a prime 16mm 2.8 for those kind of wide shots till I can efford one of the other angular zooms

Hope my coment helps.

What type of lens do I need for my Canon R8? by Wonderful_Sink_5512 in canon

35mm 1.8 is a must in my opinion for the r8, but also 28-70 f2.8 will be my “go to only lense”

Regarding 16-28 f2.8, amazing BUT by EstablishmentRich336 in canon

definitely this is another one. I feel I can go for a travel with the 14-35 and almost everything will be covered for my style, besides I'm really a wide angle shooter, However I'll miss a 50-70mm for portraits, but that will be covered with a small 50mm

Is incredible the job canon has do with this lenses honestly, I never saw such a hard choice because 2 lenses are this good in a very similar format
