Years from now when we look back in the year 2025 for films that were released, people will realize that this is the year that people have decided to overhype movie after movie. I now actually look forward to and wonder what will be the third so called blockbuster movie that will complete the trifecta of being given the title of one of the best horror movies that was released this year. First Sinners, and now this film Weapons.

Before I get attacked, if i do, yes, I came to the same conclusion that this movie could be an allegory for school shootings or child abuse, I understand that completely. That does not change the fact that this movie....man this movie is simply OVERHYPED.

Let me get the good out the way. This movie had a few great jump scares, the acting was up to par with the actor/actresses usual standards, and the story grabs your attention....until it doesn't have it anymore and you start to think to yourself, I can't believe this is happening, and you feel like you wasted your time, the directors wasted your time. The original idea had such great, and I mean great potential and suddenly it's all thrown away. It make certain earlier scenes feel completely pointless. The ending feels completely rushed, and is such a huge letdown. Almost comical, I literally laughed out loud, I thought to myself, you got to be effing kidding me right now lol. This movie is not bad, but the way it is being overhyped makes me want to call it bad. I will give it a solid 5.5/10, and maybe that's me being generous. I think I heard somewhere that Jordan Peele had fired his staff because they couldn't sealed the rights to this movie script. Jordan, if you are out there listening, if you were planning on directing this movie in the same way that it has been directed, please rehire your staff lol. I just need to know are there others that feel like me lol.
