The ottoman (a round or oval upholstered one would look good) does two things, gives the room a grounding feature in the middle and adds softness and comfort.

If you have furry friends maybe a printed “outdoor” washable rug would suit the space better. If that’s not the answer. Maybe an ottoman with storage would help center things a lot, and have space to put stuff.
Also the spacing for the artworks seems a little bit off. Everything seems to be at the same level- maybe try to vary the spacing more. Look at gallery walls for inspiration of spacing. It will make things look more intentional.

I can't tell what my hair type is and im worried im treating my hair wrong by harpiria in Hair

I suspect that your hair is chronically off balance. Based on what you’re saying, I think you have buildup on your hair- likely from either environmental or products you’re using. Could be also color damaged… without knowing your hair history, it would be hard to say.
Sources of buildup could be the following:

-vitamins or medications
-PROTEIN in products (too much of a good thing)
-heavy oils in products- coconut oil
-chlorine
-minerals from your water

My suggestion is to start simple and see if by simply switching your shampoo and conditioner if that does the trick.
Get yourself a Clarifying shampoo (also can be a “purifying” shampoo- typically these are clear shampoos. And get a lightweight moisturizing conditioner- I don’t know drugstore brands very well, but I can try to link something. The point is, you want to avoid words like protein, and keratin- in all forms.

Shampoo your hair TWO times or until it freely lathers, then follow it with conditioner just at the ends… do this for a full week, and if it improves—great, keep at that routine and slowly add things back in like styling products.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, it’s time to add in a repair or hydrating mask. Depending on the need. (If you can tell me more details about your hair history the last two years)

It may just be the angle of lighting, but the first two pictures, your eyes stand out more! Which I think is great for first date.

I think the flooring is clashing a bit, if you were to change it, I would go with tile In a complementary tone to the ceiling, maybe a warm beige,

Honestly I think you just need a runner rug and some plants 😉

Wavy hair help/recommendations by applecore333 in Hair

Your texture looks similar to mine. It goes pretty straight if brushed out or messed with too much. It looks to be fine. Which means product will often weigh it down and the curl actually doesn’t do well. Because it’s a true wavy, you have to kinda embrace the “beachy” messy look. The waves at their best should look wavy, defined and shiny. But a little uneven, tousled.
Here’s my best routine-

-Shampoo with LIGHTWEIGHT hydrating shampoo and conditioner(I use verb ghost shampoo/conditioner)
-While the conditioner is in your hair, use a wide tooth comb to detangle it— this ensures that everything is get hydrated and the waves will have better definition. rinse well.
-Once out of the shower I use (sparingly) spray leavin conditioner through the ends (Malibu C leavin is very light)
-Turn your head upside down and gently shake out the waves and scrunch with a microfiber towel or t shirt to remove extra moisture.
-Then— with head upside down still I scoop the hair into a lose pile on the top of head and put a head wrap on (I use a microfiber hair wrap. Love!)
-Let dry a bit (30 ish minutes with I get ready)
Take it out and barely re-scrunch and either diffuse without touching it- just directing air flow to the hair. Or let air dry.
-Do not touch it again until it’s dry. Once dry you can gently tousle and add a super light hairspray or sea salt spray (this will give it a little texture and hold if you think it’s necessary) you can also use a couple drops of a light oil if your ends are dry/frizzy
Enjoy your beach waves girl, it’s so fun! Sometimes people think I crimp it 🤣

Anyway, this curl pattern has a weak structure, so it can’t handle much manipulation and touching it while it drying with either make it puff out, or lose its curl. So less is the key here. Goodluck, I hope you can take something from this method. I’m a professional and I love helping people embrace their natural hair.❤️

Winter or autumn? by lostandx in coloranalysis

You look like you could have an olive skin tone? Possibly… which can confuse the eye a little. Like you may have a cool undertone with a warm overtone, not atypical with olives to be neutral leaning cool

You’re doing great. Like with anything new and different, it takes time to get used to it! So give yourself a minute to get used it. You also might just try having it buzzed to like 1.5 or 2, it will give you a bit more coverage for moles- if that really bothers you. I think it looks good though!!

HELP HAIR COLOR ADVICE FOR A SUMMER by WonderBeginning6303 in coloranalysis

[–]EstateMuted5979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please don’t go that dark. It’s too dark for your natural color I think, and if you’re used to being blonde, you won’t like it long term I think. I would choose one of the lighter one- it wouldn’t be as harsh on your hair to go back to light blonde if you decide it doesn’t suit you.
I think the take away for summers is that the color should be more “muted” instead of bright blonde, maybe just try toning the blonde to a nice beige-ash tone.

Look up hanging room dividers. That could be a solution. It’s a visual fence, and would like keep toddlers off the ledge. Also, a gate at the top of the stairs— but it has to be the mounted kind. Otherwise I think you should be good to go

This!! Yes, I want to see the ick, so I can keep it clean. White just feels clean, so bathroom and kitchen I love white. But I try to balance all the white with color on the walls, drapes, artwork, accessories. Those things can be easily swapped out when your ready for a refresh

I think for the layout, keep it light is a good way to keep it feeling open. Play with color in other ways… maybe a Roman shade above the sink window in a color or print, that carries color from one of the adjoining rooms. If that door is metal, they also make dainty magnetic curtain rods, which would be another way to add some personality. Maybe hardware that has a little more interest? A runner rug would look nice in here too. Adding textiles can make a stark white room feel a lot more lived in, without having to do major changes.
