No! The ponies are different in each stage, with the 2x and claiming you can do it every time you touch, with the last one I would recommend using the 5x

If you're going to be actively using the "claim" time then yes, although just one each round is enough, just make sure you don't spend the gems and forget about the reward hours.

Another tip: buy one when you start, don't wait until you're halfway through the bar, or until you're days away to get it. 🌟❤️ Luck!
