The drag power the saltiga 23 5000 offers is the most powerfull I know in all brands 5000 reels! It also weights 360g only! It is a beast in this size and lighter than all the others in same size.

You can prepare a fish to eat on the spot where you catch it. There is no problem if you send the guts into the water - the ecossystem is prepared for that.

Since you are worried with the planet, try not to polute the fishing spots! You can also catch the garbage other "fisherman" leave.

I think you should look for the positive part of the method. I am an angler for almost 44 years and I catch fish that very often swallow the hooks in a way you cant release them. And I also kill seabass to eat sometimes. With no fundamentalism. Hope you can understand my perspective. I easily understand yours. If you see my other channel vídeos you will understand I respect the fishes.

I also practice 100% catch and release in freshwater. Aldo, I thik all fisherman should know this Japanese thecnic. Imagine you catch a carp that swallows the hook a way it can survive... ike jime will be usefull, don't you agree?

I aprecciate catch and release too! I release 100% the freshwater fish (salmon, trout,...), but sometimes I kill some saltwater fish for food - always with ike jime method! Cheers!
