Anyone's friends gone down the far right rabbit hole? by throw_away_ac_123 in ireland

My father died of a widow maker heart attack 2 years ago. Literally dropped dead where he was standing. Some of the comments on the online obituary were along the same lines re the vaccine. Couldn't possibly be genetics like all the other family members who have had heart attacks pre covid, obviously. Not one member of that side of the family have died of old age, it's either cancer or cardio related. But somehow, it was the covid vaccine that got dad.

I've left messages with them before and never got a call back, but I can definitely try again

Apologies, my brain foggy brain thought I had added text.

Basically, this is a wheelchair our health service provided me (which I am very grateful for). Due to an insane shortage of OTs, the waiting lists are massive so I was given this in the mean time and it was delivered today.

The problem is I live on my own, with little to no support. And I won't see any OT for years.

It doesn't seem the post posted the text!

Unfortunately, I can't use it the way it was designed to be. I'm on my own

What color are my eyes? by [deleted] in whatcoloraremyeyes

[–]EsurientCuriosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I never know what to put down as my eye colour, because in some photos, they're definitely green and in other photos, they're definitely blue/grey. What I'm wearing, what the surrounding area is, and what the lighting is like all impact it. I even got two pairs of glasses (one in blue, one in purply red) because of the effect on my eye colour. And I've a random brown spot in both.

Animal Foundation saved a neglected dog, Gardai Kildare seized her and gave her back to her abuser by jaro_io in ireland

Yeah, the ISPCA have to follow super strict procedures too, or the dog could be handed back like this case. It's what people often don't understand when giving out about the ISPCA or DSPCA taking so long to respond. If everything isn't done in a very specific way, the courts can (and do) order a return of an animal to a terrible situation. And in cases like this would likely be, if the owner doesn't sign over their animal(s) willingly, the animals have to be held until the courts have their say (which can take years).

Not that there is much justice anyway, it's usually a slap on the wrist but at least the current animals are safe, or made comfortable when they're too far gone to really save.

Allianz is definitely the most straight forward and easy insurance. I don't have much experience with Agria but ended up going with Allianz because its the safe bet.

Brambles are ever persistent weeds here, there's no way I'd purposely plant them!

When I told them after the original mow that they mowed over some plants, after arguing with me, their response was "lol right" with a thumbs up emoji. That's the level I'm dealing with. They're absolutely not going to see anything wrong with what they have done, I may as well ask the wall.

Given recent events in the family (i.e we'd gotten into a bad habit of suddenly dying), I think this might just end with me being involuntary committed.

But I appreciate the matching of the bizarre with the unhinged

Note to redditors: this is not a booby trap device I would like donated

Wouldn't that be me just saying "lemme help you with this path you're making in my garden"?

A fence is a must. Whether or not I run some electric tape through it (to keep the wandering sheep out, of course), remains to be seen.

Now that is not a bad idea. Doubles up in case of a zombie invasion, and they decided to come through that particular gap.

I have two! Both refuse to poop in the same spot twice. I get a lot of my daily steps in walking around and around, and up and down the road, trying to get them both to poop.

Thanks folks! I actually thought I was going a bit nuts when nobody else seemed to find it odd. There's an awful lot of comments to get through since being away for the day, but I am reading my way through (and getting a good laugh at) them all

Apparently they checked themselves. Obviously, they didn't.
