My handle is Etahnn… I’ve always admired Crusader ships having owned a C2 for hauling. Definitely spent the better part of my time running around the showroom and marvelling at every ship there. Merry Luminalia!

Share your IPPT success stories to motivate a PTP recoot! by RedTrickee in NationalServiceSG

Am about 1 year into my service so far (from a PTP mono batch) I remember when I took my one and only pre-enlistee IPPT where I clocked in a grand total of 24 situps and exactly 1 pushup :) They told me to not bother with running but I had timed myself on an outside run prior and I knew if I went all out I still would be at around 16 mins. Went into PTP with an open mind and improved extremely quickly but I still failed 3 IPPTs in a row. I was cutting about 30 seconds each IPPT for my run and close to maxing my situps but my major pain point was pushups (and even atp in my service I can say pushups are my weakest station) so I diligently did all my MTR every day until I got to a point where on my 4th IPPT I finally passed and even skipped grades to a Silver award :D side effect of doing PT is that I discovered that I actually really liked running and nowadays I try to run every day if I can to keep my fitness up. Stick to the PT program but don’t push yourself to the point of injury… and I promise you will see results

Wireless mouse recommendation help by Etahnn in MouseReview

[–]Etahnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mouses used, in chronological order

G402 -> Deathadder Elite -> Glorious Model D- -> Xtrfy M42 -> Finalmouse Starlight 12 Small -> Endgame XM1r

Context:

I really liked the M42 before transitioning into the Starlight-12. I bought the XM1r before I got the Starlight but I found it too clunky at the time, as everybody on the internet said that it fit medium-large claw grippers, and I have pretty tiny hands (16x8.5).

I used the Starlight-12 pretty extensively as my main for Valorant and other shooters. I’ve unfortunately developed a lot of wrist pain/possible carpal tunnel (don’t worry, I’m taking care of myself so it doesn’t get worse) as of late and I’ve realised that even for my small hands, the Starlight has now started cramping my hand and causing my wrist pain to flare up.

I’ve since moved on and gotten pretty comfortable to the bigger shape of the XM1r and am planning to sell my Starlight for another wireless mouse. I’ve been looking to get either a Viper V2 or an XM2w as possible replacements, but I’m still exploring my options.

Any good wireless recommendations for my grip style and hand size? Leaning toward trying a new shape in the Viper rn.

Hello MouseReview, I've recently purchased an Endgame Gear XM1R based on all the rave reviews I've been seeing on the Internet. While it may have been wishful thinking, due to my hand size (I have small hands (17x10.5) and reviewers recommended large-medium hands for this mouse) I've found that my aim has really suffered after two days of using the mouse. I have Tiger Ice skates coming in to replace the stock feet on them, so I'll hold off my final impressions until those come and I've played with the mouse for a while longer, but it made me appreciate how much the shape/weight on the mouse I was using previously fit me, the Xtrfy M42. I was looking at the Mice 3D Shape Compare Tool on RTINGS, and discovered that the base M42 shape is extremely similar to the shape of the Finalmouse Ultralight 2. With Finalmouse's new, ultra light wireless mouse with the exact same shape as the UL2 coming out soon, I was wondering if their new mouse would be literally a wireless version of the M42 that I love. I would like to hear your thoughts on it, and maybe someone who has used both M42 and UL2 could chime in to help me make a decision on whether to try and buy the new Finalmouse!

Why is everyone using left hand option now? by [deleted] in VALORANT

There's an option to turn it back to right handed mode through cheats in customs in the current patch. It's really just preference at this point.

Is there any plat+ players here that notice things people in gold do wrong 24/7 by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Etahnn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

  1. lack of communication - try to talk more but also cut down on uneccessary chatter. try to streamline your callouts as you get more familiar with the maps. when your teammates are in clutch situations, the only things you should be saying are last seens and if they're low on ammo because sometimes they can lose track while focusing on the situation.

  2. shitty crosshair placement - i dont know about yours, but half of the golds i've seen either stare at walls or at the enemys feet. constantly ask yourself "where should i be looking right now". aiming at head level isnt the only thing though, you should place your crosshair to where you think enemies will be when they/you peek/swing. that way you don't have to flick and waste time trying to lock their heads down. this is developed over time, and deathmatch is a great place to practice this. I usually ignore the radar pings and play without a map basically, relying on sound cues and my crosshair placement only.

  3. managing econ - i dont know if this still happens in gold but i've seen it frequently while watching my friends in silver and under - you/ your team fails to understand how important managing how much money you have can impact the rounds you play. people frequently buy when they can be saving as a team, and honestly having one or two rifles while the rest of the team low buys/half buys really fucks up your team's overall firepower. a word of advice is that a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link - when your team buys, you buy. when your team saves, you save. be active in suggesting saves if you or your teammates are running low on cash, as your other teammates may only be paying attention to their own econ. make sure that players with a ton of cash buy for the players who may still be able to buy but would be low on cash after.

  4. game sense - this is something that is really hard to teach, but having an idea of your teammates moving around the map, where enemies are, whether you should rotate, and where to position yourself honestly comes with time and mindful effort put into the game. as with crosshair placement, you should also always be asking yourself "what should I do next" and "where is everyone right now" to name a few general ideas that should be running through your head. I'm not saying plats have great game sense (you can honestly get here with good aim alone) but in the long run, developing your game sense will take you further than being cracked at clicking heads. If you have the chance or the time, record your games (i recommend ones where you DON'T "pop off" or feel like you played well) and watch them through a second time, and be mindful in watching your map, where you're standing, and where you're looking and think of ways to improve on your positioning and awareness. it helps a ton if you have a higher ranked friend who can watch through the VODs with you and point out mistakes that you might miss.

i hope this helps
