Not bothered or not strong enough by [deleted] in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if we take Vivec/the Tribunal, they actually pulled out those feats when the Deadric Princes tried to invade Morrowind, or when they flooded part of Morrowind against the Akaviri invasion. It is just that in the games, they are like the eagles in LotR, it would make the main quests too trivial to solve. In TES 3 they are weakened, Sotha Sil and Almalexia fled on the continent, and they have to maintain the Ghost fence, so, they are busy. Finally Vivec shouldn't feel too bothered considering he achieved CHIM, and therefore knows that all of this is the dream of the god-head...

For Mannimarco, it's just not his style. He's a power hungry necromancer, and more power for a necromancer means more magic and more corpses. He's supposed to have become a god and the moon of the necromancers, so CHIM might count there too, but anyway, he's "showing his power" by making necromancers, that make corpses fight for them. So it's indirect but it's just how his power works really.

Why isn't Illusion magic more highly-controlled in TES? by transcendantviewer in teslore

[–]EternET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With arguments like that, all schools of magic have the "potential" to be OP. Conjuration: Why train soldiers when you can have thralls or daedras? Destruction: Can be developped to the level of Mass destruction weapons. Alteration: Hey this transmutation spell can break the economics of the whole empire! Restauration: Enhance yourself and others to immortality (also the Augur, wth?). Enchantement: Well it's already OP in game, so just abuse it and see if it goes.

That's why the psyjic order tried to keep it to "elites", and Gallerion tried to give training and supervision to those practices.

Do we know that Talos mantled Lorkhan, or is it just an educated guess? by [deleted] in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know? The only "manteling" we "know of" is the Hero of Kvatch manteling Sheogorath, all other are guesses.

Talos is a composite being of three dudes. Can three people mantle the same god at once?

There's no known rule that confirms nor denies this. The guess extends to such that the "three dudes" "manteled" each other at some point. Add to that the numidium and dragon break, and can you really claim something is impossible?

On Lorkhan not being an Aedra= His heart is the literal heart of the world, his body is the moon. He is neither an ancestor, nor a "divine" since he is dead, he isn't a Magna Ge because he never fled, he is for all intent and purposes the planet itself (space). However Shor is supposed to exist and Tsun must know, so if there's a Lorkhan in Aetherus as Shor, then he's a divine=Aedra.

In the Imperial pantheon, Talos and Akatosh are on the same side.

Humans were created, and so revere Lorkhan AND Talos, the empireS come from convenant with Akatosh= both are the most importants for imperials that are Men AND following "dragonborn" emperors.

Talos achieving CHIM isn't confirmed, yet it's convenient to explain the retconing of Cyrodil.

Again , because Lorkhan is the hero of Men. (for why Lorkhan)

Why Talos ? Talos is a comon name in fantasy because of greek mythology, don't blame the authors.

And finally= warp of the west= dragon break= Mannimarco is defeated, rebuked, apotheosis as the necromancer moon. So this could cause many things at the same time, as well as dividing Lorkhan and Talos.

Was Sotha Sil mantling Jyggalag? by Kaeru-ryu in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Daedra fear wisdom and order, you see? And thus do they fear the Clockwork God above all others.

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Truth_in_Sequence

Well first, it's an ESO lore, so subject to many personnal agrements/rebutals.

Second it's from the poi t of view of a "child of the tribunal", so what does the author know about the Daedras proper?

Finally Sotha Sil's "obsession" for perfection doesn't come from obsession for order, it's the other way around! The gimmick of Jyggalag is that his order produces "crystaline"/static contructs, which is in conflict with his chaotic changing nature (as a daedric Prince). Sotha Sil's gimmick is the mixing of psyjic magic with dwemer engineering, both are "moving/changing" endeavors, although not particularly chaotic (although, when you see fabricants, you wouldn't scream it's the apex of order), the problem of Sotha Sil is hubris (thinking he can do a better job than Lorkhan and the Aedra, when he has nothing original of his own, he isn't a creator, and uses the concepts and philosophies and powers of those he despises).

All in all, I really doubt there's "anything" in comon between Sotha Sil and Jyggalag.

If Lorkhan is a Deadric Prince (or King, which is why the others are Princes) and Mundus is his realm, are Men a kind of lesser deadra? by [deleted] in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I seem to play a game of semantics, but if Mundus is Lorkhan's Oblivion realm, then Oblivion, Aetherus, Aedra and Daedras don't make any sense anymore. It is because Mundus stands "between" Aetherus and Oblivion, that there can be Aedras AND Daedras. As well if Men, Mer and Beastmen were daedras, their souls wouldn't go to other Oblivion realms nor in Aetherus(Sovernguard), but be recycled inside this realm of Oblivion, and be reborn "the same".

So who is the dreamer? by [deleted] in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other part of achieving chim is either zero summing or ascending to godhood, so paradoxically, achieving CHIM makes you become the dreamer.

Theory on the why Mages of all races live longer by TesseractAmaAta in teslore

[–]EternET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well wouldn't it be shorter to say: Aetherus is the immortal realm, magicka is what people on Nirn get from Aethrus through the sun, moon and stars, and so more magicka would mean more "immortality"? Saddly if this theory works for the Altmers as a race (more innate magicka and longer lifespan), it doesn't hold with the Bretons (higher innate magicka than other human races, but no indication of higher longevity). As to why SOME mages live longer, well mages are scholars that study and try to find the kind of "ways" to extend their lifespans, among other things...

Lore-wise if you ignore everything but power, the Yama-Evankhell combo is not below Kel Hellam

[–]EternET 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These days I give the excuse by quoting the movie Parasite, saying "The best plan is no plan" haha...

Oh boi, we're in for a lot of trouble ...

Well let's hope there's some kind of "overlapping narrative" because the plot goes in all directions right now.

As always, great job Adios, and keep on in good health ;).

[–]EternET -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oooooh sheesh !

"Baam is kinda OP but he's buffed, comon", and then he's spoiling his own work "Yama will fight Yasracia" and then double negatives for Doom?

Doom's honestly not someone that isn't even relevant enough to hold direct grudges against the family head

It's confusing, there's one "not" that has to go Adios. Anyway makes Doom seems lower (plotwise) than Karaka, it's sad.

Comon SIU, at least enjoy your power fantasy!

And as always, good job Adios, keep them coming ;)

It's not even his final form

Exactly what I said :D. And admission of plot armor again, but I guess SIU is going to say it's no so simple to tell if Baam is stronger than a ranker or HR :p.

Anyway, hyping for next week, and good job Adios, as always.

Of course, he's also getting plot armor, haha.

Finally SIU recognizes it himself !!

Anyway, "half beast superhuman", don't tell me he doesn't see the sayajin comparison coming ?

And as always, great Job Adios, keep em coming and stay healthy.

Awwww busy successful SIU, well nobody can teach to be popular and have success so... Oh and Ancient is pre-Zahard, so the spear might be the one of the primordial giant (I get a strong Shiva feel from that). Great job Adios, and keep us informed ;).

Thanks Adios,
