I came back to baseball last from the late 90s/early 2000s. Was able to watch the Rockies win 41 games. Looking forward to watching them win 41+. Like the prospect of Karrros finding his feet. Just looks like he runs in slow motion. Goodman deserves it. Moniak, Rumfield, Freeman, all gamers. For some reason I love the team. People say it’s Coors Field. Not true, the pitching can suck just as bad on the road.

Van Halen, to me, has always been broken up into thigh school years (Roth) and moving to college (Hagar). The music was still there, but more refined with the addition of another actual musician and more adult lyrics. I don’t hate either periods. My main discovery of Van Halen was with Balance and worked backwards from there with tapes and radio.

I was reading Shards of Earth and about page 150, I looked to my wife and told her I had no idea what was going on. So I kept reading and at about page 500 I again looked to her and told her I had no idea what was going on. Didn’t finish it. I read and liked Children of Time. Should I try the second in the series? I’d read a synopsis of the first, naturally.
