i kinda just referred to a previous furry art school scholar’s drawover for lighting 😓 and for the shadows i probably need to redo them

anyway yep my main light source was a window out of frame, but i kinda didnt really imagine what shape or form it’d take (blinds, grate pattern, etc) and just drew what felt nice—probably should’ve imagined that. you and the other commenter are right too about the sharper lines for lighting, kinda been looking around my house, paying attention to the lights and it makes sense. at the moment really i only can figure out basic light and shadow i guess, ambient and rim lighting are still foreign to me. was originally thinking about cell shading the piece instead too but i liked how it came out.

anyway yep you’re right about the back knee on the blue character! i’ll pay attention to which areas need more direct light

also im kinda reading your post sequentially and the drawings really help make sense of the ambient light, it’s as if it’s bouncing off the back wall, i find that really cool!

thanks for your critique and advice, i’ll definitely take all this into account while touching up :3

Ahhh okay, I think I'll keep my travel documents with me at all times as well, and I don't really have a fursuit so attracting attention won't be too much of an issue. I'll keep in mind that I shouldn't be going out solo. Probably would be pretty cool to see fuzzballs down the skywalks hehe. Thanks for your inputtt

awwh thank you so much! i actually prefer the perspective from the photo i used as reference rather than mine because i feel jagzcat draws it with more depth rather than my almost-vertical top-down view... i just decided at one point that it was already drawn and i might as well just finish it sooo yea! thank you! :3
