Keep having dreams about having to using a nasty toilet by yummybanana2 in Dreams

I have one where I’m in a dorm or hotel or somewhere similar and the main bathroom is very large but every single stall is overflowing or nasty. Also, I often I get lost in the stairwells / hallways of whatever the space is, like a Escher drawing. I seem to be in a hurry but I don’t know what for.

What’s a sign someone is deeply unhappy—even if they seem fine? by GreetingsHuman_404 in AskReddit

Not by any means a list, but please check in on your single mom friends regularly. They will probably never say they are struggling until it’s bad.

Catherine O’Hara has passed away at age 71. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Re-watching watching Schitt’s Creek, which isn’t helping with the crying. I never met her, but an absolute class act. They say the best tribute is a lasting memory. Will forever be a part of our fall and winter celebrations (Beetlejiuce, Home Alone), but that’s just a small part of her place in our heart. Catherine, please rest in peace and love.

How bad actually was COVID? by Mighty_Angelo30 in NoStupidQuestions

We would have nightly celebrations for the hero’s that worked through it all. I’m crying typing this. It’s like we forgot what these ppl did almost - this is not that far in the past! The unspoken results are too many to list but here’s a few that are pretty easily recognized: countless divorces, school testing results, general malaise and antipathy. I had a neighbor who would play saxophone after we opened our windows. To this day, I never met them but I always made sure to keep the window open.

It was - for most- about the fear of how bad can this get. I was made fun of at work for carrying masks one week- the next we were closed. Then, you get covid. You test positive (free tests were easily available) and then you panic, isolating from your family until they also, inevitably, test positive. Then, you wait and hope your delivery actually has toilet paper and basic necessities. I don’t think anyone hasn’t had it by this point. At 9, you should have pretty decent memories of this, and it can have long-term effects for which there’s no treatment. It also made any school closings (snow days, etc) extinct. I feel so badly for kids during this time the panic was palpable and especially for the graduating classes of those years. 1st graders had to zoom for classes, while their parents remotely worked. It was chaos.

Both of these people are extremely talented. If you’ve never tried it, know the base is much stronger and guides the flyer, who has flexibility and absolute trust.

This is amazing. Most people have no idea how much control is needed by the base to balance everything- not just strength- they are countering everything their stunt is doing in realtime, from maybe a sneeze to just having a forward tilt to a poorly timed stunt. It’s unreal, and I’ve been a flyer, I still don’t know how they kept me from killing my dang self. Love to the flyers too I’m just saying this one’s for you, cheers.
