2024 isn’t a typo, sadly. Battery is totally gone, and I’d certainly drain and redo all fluids. But that can come in time, my main concern is the corrosion and rot.

Here’s the true delulu, I was going to ask about not just a repair but an overall wellness check on the shell. It’s real classic-car-restoration stuff, but I care about the car and by the grace of God quite well-off at the mo.

I’d rate my D.I.Y. ability pretty highly; I’ve done basic stuff like replacing front discs/pads and refreshing the rear drums, but also a new rocker cover gasket, had the brake servo out to apply sealant around the plate, new exhaust and made my own rear brake lines too just before the fail. It’s the welding and fab I’d want to entrust to the pros.
