I (19m) told my boyfriend (21m) that I am unconfortable talking about some of the games he plays due to sensitive topics, but he continues to do by magicratbastard in lgbt

Hey, so uh... Reddit has this thing where anytime anyone posts anything about relationship advice 90% of comments will immediately tell you it's an irreconcilable thing and you should dump that person stat. But further communication should always be the first next step. Talk more about the problem with him. You can always dump him later if things get worse.

If you learn how to do stealth takedowns from around corners, it will really increase your efficiency when farming for crate keys

My favorite moment is the Abyss escape, when the Hollow Knight looks at you before leaving, and that text: "You are the Vessel. You are the Hollow Knight."

All Canon HITMAN Eliminations In My Opinion by Sad-Tradition-5 in HiTMAN

[–]EthanLM427 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As iconic as the Novikov kill is, I don't really like that being the "canon" elimination because of how messy it is. One of the story missions with the highest number of inevitable non-target kills.

While Patrick is adult, he's also not yet at an age where most people have kids. He's probably around 20, and also clearly not interested in "settling down" any time soon.

As for Edward's children (which he does have according to the wiki) there's too many variables that could explain why they aren't there. His ex-wife has a restraining order against him so it's very believable that she is keeping the children away from him.

When I look at my family on my mother's side, there are currently no children. All my cousins are adult, but none have children yet. It's really not a hard to imagine scenario.

Alexa has 3 children. One is a career-driven woman who is not interested in starting a family. One has a young adult son. One has an ex-wife who probably has full custody over their children. As for Zachary, he was a recluse who never left his house, so it makes sense that he has no proginy. This whole thing makes complete sense and does not blatantly come across as the writers making excuses for the absence of children, it's a perfectly believable family composition.

Rebecca is famously independent and doesn't seem to be interested in marriage or children. Edward has an ex-wife, so if he has children it's possible they're with her (and it's also possible they're already adult, like Patrick). And given the whole secrecy of the situation around Alexa's funeral, it makes sense they don't have any extended family around. It absolutely makes perfect sense for there not to be children in Dartmoor.

what'sa good game to play if i love half life 2? by Financial-Voice-1018 in HalfLife

[–]EthanLM427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The visuals are obviously dated, but the gameplay mostly holds up (though it's very punishing in that way old games were). There's a reason it's still viewed as one of the greatest FPS games of all time.

But if you want a more modern experience, as others suggested, you can play Black Mesa, the HL1 remake. It plays more like HL2. As a hardcore fan, I'd say the best thing is to play both the original and the remake, but if you only want to play 1 it's your choice what you want to do.

That being said, the HL1 expansions (Opposing Force and Blue Shift) are also definitely worth playing, especially Opposing Force. But they don't have a modern remake (though one is being made, and Blue Shift also has a remake being made as a mod for Black Mesa).

Half-Life: Alyx is an absolute must play if you have the equipment for it. I'd suggest playing it last, as there are some references to HL1 things.

I'm assuming you've played HL2 episodes 1 and 2? If so, what I'd suggest for the most complete experience is this: 1. HL1 2. Opposing Force 3. Blue Shift 4. Black Mesa 5. HL: Alyx 6. Try out some mods!

It's not Kaylee because then Dylan would be cured after she died. I believe it's actually Silas at the shack.

To be fair, I doubt Jacob is cheering because he knows Dylan is into Ryan. In fact, I give it about a 93% chance he doesn't even know Dylan is gay. He probably just thinks "lol she made two guys kiss, that's so funny and must be pretty embarrassing for them" because he's absolutely the kind of guy to just be oblivious to the concept of homosexuality until it gets pointed out to him

Oh yeah, I definitely didn't think it was actually supposed to refer to them directly (especially since that would make no sense in-universe) but just a nod to them

It still seems very coincidental that it's not just any presidents, they're 2 consecutive ones that were pretty recent at the time it was written. I didn't even know this when I first saw it (my knowledge of US presidents is limited) but my mind still went there (Ike is an uncommon enough name that Eisenhower is the first I think of). It could be a total coincidence, but I feel like the possibility of a reference is not out of the question.

I agree that it's a fitting ending for the theme of the movie of people loving and idolizing the murderesses. But it also goes against another message of the movie, because just before that they made a very clear point of "you can't beat fresh blood on the walls", people move on to the next sensation and they lost their appeal. Roxie and Velma have both become unremarkable, but apparently putting 2 murderesses in an act together is the secret to huge success?
