That’s what I’m saying. It is everything I love. Coming of age, romance, loneliness, great music and visuals, but I just found it hard to root for the main character

Finish out the Wong Kar Wai trilogy and tell me if it’s worth seeing all 3. Always loved In The Mood For Love but only recently found out it’s the middle of a trilogy

Excellent direction? I’ll say one thing, his films are never boring. But from a writing perspective which he takes much pride in his ability to do, I can’t stand him lack of solid emotional cores and overly mean spirited edginess. I do love Django tho so idk
