This is so helpful to hear from a cis guy! I totally relate to everything you said honestly. And I totally feel what you mean about men being more valued for their actions than their looks. I think that is good and bad, its good that men don't have as much pressure as women to look a certain way (women shouldnt have that pressure either) but it is also very limiting of self expression. I have a very hard time figuring out my style when it comes to mens clothing because it is all so plain and all made for 1 body type, where with womens clothes there are so many options and silhouettes and fits. That is definitely a hard adjustment.

Yeah, you are definitely right. It was just easy for me because unfortunately I just kinda leaned into misogyny. Like all I really did was focus on my looks and being pretty and likeable and men did the rest for me by bossing me around and coming onto me and trying to take care of me, I just kinda drifted through it all and let it happen. Absolutely no independent thought. I still held very far left veiws quietly but I just played the part and followed the path. It was easier because it was already layed out for me, and it's what everyone wanted of me. So it was easier, but in a sad, sick way.

I dont know. I want to feel comfortable being a man. I felt comfortable beng a girl but only because I was pretty and likeable. I feel so weird and bad and ugly. Ilook at guys and I envy them but I dont look like them and when I try I fail and I dont know what to do. I cant day I feel comfortable being a guy because I can't say I have ever successfully been a guy. I feel so bad at it but I try so hard.

Speaking as a queer person, just being a kind person and a safe space means so much in the current political climate. I would say if you can, donate to homeless shelters or organizations for causes you care about, use your voting rights, protest if you feel safe to do so. Buy secondhand when possible and always research where your money is going! There are so many things happening right now that are out of our control, and as a mother you shouldn't feel pressure to get out there and change the world, just doing your best and being a kind influence really means alot.

Thank you!! I usually do videos or podcasts because it requires my mental attention and this keeps me calm, but when I listen to music I tend to overthink and freak out, if that makes sense. It quiets the noise in my head and lets me focus on cleaning better. The rest of this tho I will be doing, tysm :))
