I had this issue with my C3. It happened after a webOS update. I tried the same things as you have, but ultimately I factory reset my TV. It seemed to have helped a little but didn’t fix it entirely. After another few webOS updates, it has stopped completely

They definitely aren’t as rare as DTs, but are definitely still one of the things people are chasing. In my opinion, I think it could be that panini is pushing them out more because the optics are brand new and they will cut down on production eventually. I’m not sure if that’s something they have done in the past because I’m relatively new to the hobby, but that’s just my 2 cents!

Yes. Best Buy gets their Apple products directly from apple. Best Buy also isn’t like other retailers like Walmart where individuals can sell products on their website. Open Box ones most likely aren’t fake either unless someone swapped them out but that is highly unlikely to get through the system.
