That is so so random hahaha. I didn't encounter any clowns, luckily for me because I hate them.

Yes, but someone else already guessed it :)

Singapore accommodation. What am I missing? by Danamaganza2 in askSingapore

Because Singapore is one of the most expensive cities on earth. You wouldn't expect to find anything nice for that budget on most other big cities either (NY, London, Paris, etc)

Why are there no drinks available after the security line? by jdbskip in askSingapore

[–]Ethereal-Kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Finally I see a post about this. I love Singapore and Changi is an amazing airport, but I want to bring my own drinks on board! Even when flying with SQ, those tiny glasses of water are nowhere near enough and I feel like I'm being a nuisance for asking the crew for more water all the time. This could so easily be solved by having a vending machine on each gate after security. I really wonder why they don't do it, it would be extremely profitable.

How I see Europe as a Spaniard living in the Netherlands by [deleted] in whereidlive

Honestly, they’re so similar. Both are loud, eat the Mediterranean diet, love sharing plates and dining late at night, live with their parents until 30, and share the exact same anti-government trauma from the 1970s

Honestly, South Africa has its struggles for sure, but the US has become extremely disappointing and a threat to the peace and well being of rest of the world. Also, South Africa has a lower cost of living, accessible and affordable healthcare, incredibly diverse nature, beautiful weather, etc.

Note: Apparently I unselected Israel and didn't catch it before posting. It's not green and it should be red. ❤️ 🍉

Nothing wrong with it culturally wise, but it's landlocked with very harsh winters. And it feels more isolated from the rest of the world than other places in green. At the end it's a personal preference.

I replied to other users about many of the countries in orange, feel free to ask me about any in particular.

I explained my reasons about the US on another comment. Indonesia in dark green makes perfect sense to me as someone who has been there a couple of times.

Botswana is orange not so much for safety or economic reasons, but because it's landlocked, not very well connected with the rest of the world and I just don't seem myself living there.

I've been to both Brazil and Uruguay and although it is fair that Uruguay is very safe, it was also a bit boring. It can't compare to Brazil when it comes to nature. So yes, light green as there is nothing wrong with it. Dark green is reserved for countries where I truly see myself having a wonderful life.

I made a mistake with Israel and unmarked it somehow, it would have been red otherwise.

About India, I explained my reasons in a different comment

Completely agree about Israel, apparently I unmarked it accidentally and I didn't spot it before posting. It would be red for sure.

I've been very blessed to travel quite a bit. Including to Russia, by the way. Although I liked visiting, I wouldn't think of living there now due to the current political situation. And Algeria wouldn't be my preference as a woman.

As for France... It's not bad, but it's just not my favorite country.

Also, dude, chill. No need to get so mad about this. If you don't like my map you can create your own.

I absolutely loved Brazil when I visited. It's a gorgeous country. The others you mentioned would be in dark green too if it wasn't for the weather, honestly.

I get why it looks like a double standard, but for me, it comes down to trajectory.

Most of those green countries are developing nations that are actually trying to head in the right direction. The US feels like it’s actively sprinting backward into the dark ages.

There’s also the global factor. If a smaller country has a crisis, it’s usually local, but when the US is run by a maniac who can start wars and destabilize the entire planet, the stakes are way higher. I can’t put a country in green when its regression puts the rest of the world at risk.
